2.1?
No. It's a $599 TV.
this is a Tempo pile of shit so as long as you realise its a mass box mover china set with the same menu structure you see on all the other sets and a barely usable smart function…
How much more would it cost the manufacturers of these throwaway TVs to bring them up to reliable standard? Surely it can't be that much?
On the flip side, how much more should I need to spend to get a reasonable quality 65" TV?It's a pity there is no such thing as an e-waste pollution tax on low quality electronic products. I see many of these cheap TVs, barely a few years old, dumped on hard rubbish days.
I'd say if the panel isn't too bad on this one you could just grab a Chromecast or other Android TV box and you'd be set. Never used this TV though so can't comment on its panel quality.
Ah, Dgtec is now one of the many cheap brands under supplier Tempo.
It used to be separate from Tempo as a supplier of rebranded generic electronics. Tempo are the major supplier of cheap generic electronics to Aldi, sold under Aldi's trademark Bauhn.
Years ago, the poor quality of Dgtec products earned the nickname DodgieTec!
Which one is better out of these 4s
I am looking to buy a cheap 65 inch TV, Budget 600 -700, I already got Chromecast with google TV 2020, so not fussy about smart feature. I got these 4 options
- Aldi Bahun 65" $599 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/581302#comment
- Devanti 65" $599 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/582281
- BigW DGTEC 65" $599 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/583266
- BigW EKO 65" $699 https://www.bigw.com.au/product/eko-65-4k-ultra-hd-android-t…
Great summary of the current deals.
Interested to here comparative thoughts between these 4 options.Good to see a lot more supply of cheap TV's, gradually getting back to the prices earlier in the year.
I suspect these will be the new norm & hopefully even better prices and/or better quality for the price in the coming months.I brought the Eko 65" from Big W a couple of weeks ago when they were doing their rewards cards users sale for $571.50……It's been ok I have no complaints at that price point its fine compared to my mates Aldi 65" TV I think the Eko shits on it bigtime thats just my opinion though………..at the end of the day its an good cheap 2nd big screenTV
