Why can't they have all in one hub?

    • +7

As a work around, you could get both and plug one into the other.

      • Great idea!

    • +1

If they put all in one hub, it will typically be called a dock or replicator instead.

  • site is super slow, trying to get one, not happening

    • +8

It was working alright until I posted this lol

      • so i paid with paypal. never got a confirmation email from laser thou….

      The OB hug of death

    • +10

Wish I had thought of this earlier and put my order in before posting

      • +28

Nah mate, you thought about sharing before thinking about your own interests. Karma will reward you.

        • +2

thanks just managed to get in. Good luck :D

  • Thanks OP, took forever to checkout…

    OMG potato server :(

    • +4

      Fried potato.

  • +3

OzB hug of death after only 300 clicks, I think you need to change hosting provider, dm me

    • +18

It's running on a laser branded server

      • +2

        SOMEBODY CALL THE BURNS UNIT

  • +2

Can these be used with the Chromecast Google TV?

    • I'd also like to know. From what I saw online it seemed to be more picky than regular android for some reason. The only one verified as working is $150 though amazon… This one is probably worth a shot..

    • Not sure how you would supply power to CGTV with this connected.

  • +1

Site dead. The power of ozbargain never ceases to amaze me!

  • LASER IS Already Broken

  • Error 524

  • Error 524 :)

  • +1

Wish there was a USB Type-C HUB with both Ethernet and 4k HDMI!

    • +3

There is .. :) but considerably more expensive…
8Ware USB Type-C to USB 3.0 A + HDMI + Gigabit Ethernet with Type-C Charging Port Adapter Cable- Up to 60W

  • +1

Good job on the web hosting guys!

edit* site couldn't handle 1000 clicks in 45 minutes.

  • +2

Thanks for killing the website guys…

    • +11

Ozbargain needs something like ramp lights to let two people click at one time 🤣

      • +2

Should we take a number and wait?

  • Anyone knows whether it can charge my MacBook via USB C port or not?

  • +2

    What is worse, a 504 or a 524?

    • +2

Good question. Was wondering the same thing. Normally a 504 means your back-end died. Sounds like a 524 is somewhat similar. Though I got a 500 just now as well, which is pretty bad. Will start giving up soon.

  • Would "5 IN 1 USB TYPE-C HUB - 4K HDMI, USB A & C ADAPTER" work with LG G7?

  • I almost got $50 off!!!

    • What coupon code?

  • Got into the website, and then got 524…

  • +1

Now they have to fix the server with all the money they got from here…

  • 45 Minutes at confirming order :(

    • +1

same here. confirm button is broken. not working. what a waste of time.

      • Free advertising :)

  • Cheap brand but great price!

  • +3

Nice potato server you got here laser.

  • +8

Wish it worked for everyone but if you can’t be bothered waiting, one of them is also listed on catch for $13.95 delivered
5 IN 1 USB Type-C HUB 4K HD HDMI Data Charging Cable

    • Thanks. For some reasons, UNIDAYS 10% student discount code didn't work.

      • It's a third party seller (Laser themselves)

    • no longer on catch.

  • Anyone else at the endless spinning orange arrow?

    • Got through ordered just now. Only 2 of 4 tabs eventually came up with a paypal popup at the same time after a while.

  • Good deal

  • Which one of these two is more useful

    • I guess it depends on what you need. I like the idea of an extra monitor option, and I already have a network Rj45 interface on my laptop.

  • Now $19.95?

    • +1

      Apply coupon?

      • Coupon saves 10. New price 9.95

        • Shipping takes off $11 even though shipping is $10

          • @Pricebeat: Strange. I spun the wheel on their website and got a save $10 coupon which was same as yours.

            • @Logical: Pretty sure all spins will get the same prize

  • The 5inI indicates

With the power pass through (PD) function you can charge your computer whilst you are connected to the hub.

Where do you connect the charger?

    • USB C port?

      • Ah! yes, you are correct.
the description indicated "Add 4K HDMI, pass-through charging, and two USB Type-A ports" , but when you look at the picture one is a USB C PD port. Not sure where the 2nd USB A port is though.

        • could be on the rear of it

  • +3

Can’t click through to deal but assuming it’s 4K @ 30 Hz and not 60 Hz

  • +3

    doesn't work

  • They should post on their website, limit of 1 order per person per website.

  • Website does not work.

  • +1

Holy shit. Worst website in the fkn world.

  • Am stuck waiting for paypal. Is eWay (credit card) any better?

    • Just bought i via paylpal. took 5 mins.

  • Does anyone else see the price as $19.95?

    • +1

      Apply coupon code

      • +1

Oh right. If the website loads that is…..

  • +1

Hugged to death. Well, it's been nearly fours hours and it's a killer deal, so makes sense, I suppose

  • +1

    Cant get to website

  • Has to be the best deal of Ozbargain, that website has not worked for 4 hours.

  • Does this charge if I plug in usb c charger ?

    • RTFM!
      Yes

  • +3

When they rebuild the server from the smoking ruins, there will be 200 successful orders, 2000 failed orders, and 20 items of stock to fulfil them.

    • Laser sell at retail, they have more than 20 items sitting in their warehouse.

  • Can't trust them to place an order … change the server.

  • Broken site, have tried several times in the past few hours.

  • Did I spot a unicorn?.. Not to worry

  • I think my F5 key is broken

    • +2

      Try Alt+F4 instead.

      • Alt-F4 just closed down the window. I opened it back up again and no luck. Any more helpful tips?

        /s

        • Turn off the computer and start again.

          Other options you can consider,

          • going outside the house and back in
          • turning the car engine on/off
          • changing your favourite YouTube channel

all combined might have the same effect … or not

  • Price is back to 69$

  • The website still down hahaha

  • Now showing as ‘no product’

  • All gone, the products no longer on the website :-(

  • I guess I got lucky, managed to snag a 5in1 after a couple of clicks (just now).

The checkout clock/timer thing was slow though.

Just received the order confirmation via email.

    Hopefully order will be fulfilled.

  • Yep, just scored one now also. Very slow, but persistence paid off.
This hub with ethernet will be used with my previous Ozbargain Chromecast Google TV, as WiFi just wasn't cutting it.

  • I was able to add to cart through the following link and doing it directly there
    https://www.laserco.com.au/categories/computers/hubs

Although adding the coupon code seems to be a bit slow

  • How is the brand? Is it any good? Does it have any current protection in case connected device try to draw too much current? Looking for USB C to USB port, HDMI and ethernet port in general. Thanks
