Edit: speak of the devil, my Auspost app just triggered a notification that a consignment is being prepared by "returns department". I have to say, the Auspost app is one of the better things to come out of Australia Post (other than Cartier watches). Almost makes up for the posties who deposit expensive deliveries on top of my parcel chute.

Opened the package and looks and feels fantastic. Almost mac like in it's quality.
Unfortunately HDMI output and USB ports don't work.

Same my HDMI port is working using xps 15 9550 to Dell S2721D monitor.
I thought the idea with pass through power/BC1.2 was charging the laptop via the dock? But I guess that won’t be the case if it’s something like 5W where the laptop is happy at 130W or at least 60W. I guess the alternative is charging phone through the port from the laptops power. Would that be right?

My HDMI port works fine, so does USB PD and 2 USB ports (keyboard and mouse)
However, with both HDMI and USB PD In, there is loud whining coming from inside the unit
If I take out the usb-c power, the noise goes away

Got mine today and very pleased with it. Immediately tried it out and had success with the HDMI port and USB-A ports. I havent tried the PD. The quality is really nice for a bargain price.
