Up To 50% off Sydney Tower/Wildlife World/Sydney Aquarium (Time Restrictions)

121

Found this via travelzoo, but checked on the attractions' websites direct and it's true. Basically if you go late in the day you'll save 50% on the tickets. Personally I'd prefer the Tower after 7pm, on a clear night you get a beautiful view. Aquarium only ever takes me about an hour to go through, so no probs to go after 4pm.

The following attractions are available at discounted prices:

The Sydney Tower Eye (after 7pm) … $12.50
Wild Life Sydney (after 3pm) … $17.50
Sydney Aquarium (after 4pm) … $17.50

Offering 360 degree views of Sydney, The Sydney Tower Eye in the city centre is the ideal place to get a bird's eye view of this vibrant harbour city.

Wild Life Sydney in Darling Harbour allows visitors to see Australia's iconic animals up close, while the nearby Sydney Aquarium is home to over 12,000 aquatic animals and features an underwater viewing tunnel.

This offer is valid for visits on select dates until 31 October, 2012. Available until sold out.

  • I might buy Sydney Tower one

  • Me and the missus have been meaning to go up the Sydney Tower so we might check it out. Does anyone know if you have to book ahead of schedule or can you just show up?

No booking required, just go there, show your ticket and queue for the lift.

    • I can't be sure but I'd reckon if you want these prices you'd have to pre book, can't see them reducing prices at the gate. Anyone who knows can feel free to correct me.

  • Not sure if this is a bargain for Sydney Aquarium one atleast - the 50% offer appears to be available from the syd aquarium website directly anyway http://www.sydneyaquarium.com.au/tickets/ - no need to join 'travelzoo'. Maybe it's a bargain for the other sites.

Wild Life Sydney is also available online at 50% off for entry after 3pm.

The same apply to Sydney Tower Eye (entry after 7pm):

I do not see any bargain in this post, as these prices are available on respective websites at all times.
Don't need to go through travelzoo…

    • Sorry to say Bob that if you'd looked at the link you'd see that travelzoo is simply reporting the deal: not selling it. I linked to them because they reported all 3 places in one spot. Can't see a reason for a - there??

      • I think he's negging based on this being the normal price for these tickets.

  • You can also get the Sydney Aquarium one from the Sydney Entertainment voucher books. Possibly one or more of the others too. In fact, you're better doing that if you only want 2 tickets, since you only pay when you actually go, as opposed to having to pay upfront.

Don't forget if you're a teacher simply show some form of ID at any of the gates to those 3 venues and get in FREE!! We go to the Aqurium everytime we're in Sydney because of that!

    • What kind of ID do teachers have, do you get a badge like police?

  • apparently there is no more free entry for teachers, please be aware. here is the link http://www.notgoodenough.org/viewtopic.php?t=40389

    • Bummer - that was a nice thing to do with the kids!

I took two 11 year olds for a day visit to Sydney last summer … they thought it was their best day out ever.

Cheap flight ($29 each way from Melbourne) … train to Circular Quay; ferry to the beautiful Zoo overlooking the harbour, - up the chairlift - where I spent a leisurely couple of hours supping coffee, reading the paper with the elephants while the kids ran around; down the chairlift and ferried back to the Quay; walked to Sydney Tower (one of the kids requested this) for a surprisingly great lunch with wonderful views, bussed back to Circular Quay and ferry to swim under the bridge (North Sydney Swimming Pool); ferry to the Aquarium … finished off somewhere else (I've forgotten where) … back to Circular Quay, train to the Airport … :)

The ferries are great value, and the weather was perfect.

It was so good we decided today to repeat it between Christmas and New Year, so on the lookout for cheap tickets again. (We have a couple of $100 Jetstar vouchers from when they stranded everyone :) )
