These had a regular price of $99 last year, looks like they had a huge price rise this year.

    • how long do they take to get C&C orders ready? website says 2 days but that's a bit long

  • Assume these are enough power for snow cannon?

    • -6

dunno, I'll use it as backyard water jet flyboard

    • +1

I did Meguiars snow cannon on this and the foam wasn't really rich. Did the job I guess.

      • Does the Meguiars fit out of the box or additional unit is required?

        • It has attachments to fit on the karcher, no additional unit required.

    • Water Flow rate and PSI are below recommended. It will produce a thin foam but not really ideal, more of a soap liquid than a foam

    • Wronggg :)

2000psi I would say is the sweet spot at around 7-8L/min.

    • 1800 is as low as I'd go. It will probably work but you'd want to make the concentration stronger (ie use 150-200ml of foam instead of 100ml in a litre) which will cost you more in the long run so may as well just get a better pressure washer…not to mention the short hose will give you the its as it won't make it half way around a full sized car.

    • You might need a 1.1mm orifice..

    • washed my car today with one (have had it for a couple of years).
Foams mostly okay. I used 300ml of Autoglym foam and it was fine. That’s more soap than recommended.
Most of the other times, it’s difficult to create good thick foam

Maybe we'll hose you down instead 💦

Model Nr on the box is 1.602-124.0 if it means anything. Bunnings website has it wrong: 1.602-112.0.

How to avoid price matching 101

  • +3

worth to buy? Or over $200 for k3?

    • Depends if you just wanna wash your car or clean the deck.

      • Hi, is it good for cleaning artillery/shotgun fungus off the car? or will it damage paint??

    • K2 is useless, even the K3 is weak as. K4 or equivalent, minimum IMO

      • I have k4 Premium. Was told go the K4 at a minimum. It works great.

You won't be able to do decks or driveways with anything less, it would take you years!

  • Different model, the one on the bunning's website at $99 is listed as 1400 PSI, the Karcher site has it listed as 1750PSI so I assume it's a newer version of the K2.

Removed wrong model Bunnings link. Seems like they dont have it online. Store I got it from is Balgowlah.

    • +2

The $99 one on the bunnings link is the same one. It's not 1400 PSI, its 1400W, two completely different things.

      • Spot on, sorry i read that incorrectly.

In that case the K2 has always been $99, i got it last December for that price.

      • No, online bunnings has Model Nr as 1.602-112.0, one I got is 1.602-124.0. There was one, bit smaller and dirty, on the shelf, when I pointed at it, they said its older model and it sits there just as display unit.
It is a quest. Who finds any difference first, gets a cookie, lol

        • Wouldn't surprise me if Bunnings has not updated its product number on the website as 1.602-112.0 was a 1600PSI model and *124.0 is 1750PSI, which they have got in the specs on the site.

Some of these low-end pressure washers have such weak pressure it'll be a waste of time.

    • +1

      And money?

  • +2

I have a Karcher K2 and used it to clean the deck a little while ago. Could only do a third of a plank (89mm) at a time. Got there in the end but would have been way easier with a stronger unit. Might upgrade or hire a stronger one next time.

  • +1

The same unit is $99 online at bunnings…both are 1750PSI

These are great. I have one in my kitchen and use for washing up dishes left overnight.

  • Damn hoses !!

Glass fibre reinforced and corrosion-free for life pump

Will be the first thing that breaks on it. Karcher pumps are notorious for breaking. Stick with a metal pump.

Don't think it's a deal though. The K2 Basic is always $99, even if it's a new model, all the specs (even the photos) are all the same.

    • 5 year warranty though, and no deck to wash yet, i'll try my big balcony, piles of leaves for over a year.

      • +1

Works amazing. What'd take me 3 hours done in 30mins. Tiles went from black to … not black.

  • There is also the one at Sydneytools but different brand
