    JB rep called and signed me up for the $69 plan (-$10 pm) and honoured $500 gc just because I left them my name and number to call. Pretty impressed with them for the first time. 😎

    • Called at 4:20pm on the 28th and gave up after 3 hours leaving details for a callback but still nothing.

  • I finally got a confirmation CIS email from Telstra. Does that mean the SIM card is on its way?

      I got a text message from Telstra with a Star Track tracking number one day after I got the first Telstra email.

  • I left a voicemail on the Monday and managed to sign up Tuesday for the $400 GC. Fingers crossed I might still get a call from jb upgrading me to the $500 gc. Sim attempted delivery today but I was out at work so won't be able to get it until Monday now.

    • Received a call back yesterday and I asked for $500 gc instead of the $400. He asked his manager and it got approved, happy days.

      Ordered Monday at 5:30pm, Telstra docs came through on Tuesday at 6pm. Sim received and active on Thursday 10am.

        Your gift card will be with you Monday or Tuesday. I activated on Wednesday and got it Friday.
        Given weekend I wouldn't stress!

        • Who was the gift card sent from? I don't have mine either and I activated last Thursday

        • You are off by a day - gc received on Wednesday!

  • I got the sim overnight. How does the activation work if you have a esim. I have deactivated my Optus esim and inserted the Telstra sim but can’t get it to activate.

      • Took some time but activated using the link. Wonder if I will get the gc over the weekend or next week.

        • Unlikely you will receive the gc on the weekend, I activated my service on the 1st of Oct and still have not received the gc yet.

  • Got my sim yesterday, activated using the Telstra link (was asked to provide further detail e.g. order number).

    Activated around 11am today. Still waiting for GC from JB.

    • What time did you activate it? Still waiting for mine to port over since 4pm yesterday.

      • I submitted my request around 4.30pm yesterday.

        I got SMS and email from Optus almost at the same time I got something from Telstra.

        I submitted the request a few times including this morning as well. Not sure if that would've helped.

    is anyone in Vic still waiting for their order to go thru? I'm still waiting since Monday. Called JBhifi today and got told to wait on Monday for management to come back due to high volume orders

    • I’ve heard absolutely zero since signing up. No SIM, no emails of any kind.

      • Did you write down sale reference numbers as well as sale rep (employee numbers) for your record ? if not then forget about it, they could not track if you didn't have anything to chase up. If I do not hear anything from them from next week, then I'll just move on. They allowed massive orders then can't even handle the demands

        • I wouldn’t agree with you on that assessment. I do have reference numbers. Will see how it plays out.

    • Received Sim yesterday and all good to go! Got my pre-paid number transferred over instead of the new number they gave me. All good to go!

    Just found out the $500 giftcard cannot be used on JB Hi Fi PS5 pre-orders… sigh

    I just got my gift card today, after I activated my SIM on Wednesday last week.

      I initially left a message on "$500 day" because I'd tried 4 times to get through - then I called again at 0900 next day - "$400 day" - and got through and signed up - noting I'd left a message on the previous day.

      I've since received a SIM card, but nothing else - no emails, no contract terms, nothing. So, yesterday I called them again. I was advised they are still working through the backlog of callers and, essentially, it's all progressing, but will take time. The sense I got was that they're doing their best and their intent is to get back to everyone.

        • I just got the gift card email. My SIM got ported yesterday, without warning. I didn't even know it was happening until my phone died.

          They have sent me a $400 voucher, not a $500 one. Bit pissed about that… I think I'll follow up with them again and try to get it corrected.

          I'll update here again if I'm successful.

  • No. I ported to Telstra last Thursday. I've called them three times and each time they keep telling me it's been put to the top of the queue.

  • Has anyone received their first bill yet? My first bill is $69 and after chatting with Telstra, they said that the request to add the $10 credit was done after the bill was issued, so the first bill will remain unchanged and the next 12 bills after that will be $59.

    • Same. I haven't accessed the $400 card because I have to chase them up again over it. I think this will be the 6th time I've had to call them.

      My telstra SIM is active too, port compete, and no emails from telstra either.

      It's a dog's breakfast…

  • Still haven't received mine. Does anyone know which number to call? I tried to call the same sales team number as before but it was closed, and the JB hifi gift line number had no idea what I was talking about and referred me back to JB Hifi corporate.

    I called them yesterday via the sales line and was told all cards are sent manually and they still have a backlog with all the sales done on the 28th of Sep which they are trying to clear, and we should receive our cards by today or tomorrow. If not, then call them again.

  • God what a drama…. Telstra sent me a new sim and a bunch of emails ('see attached your plan details', without attachment), but apparently my plan setup didn't complete, whatever that means. They will have someone call me to purchase and process the plan again. They can't do it over the chat since it's a JB Hifi plan.

    I think I will tell that person on the phone that they can keep their plan and gift voucher. I get it, we are all under the pump but this is the third consecutive time in 5 years that my port over to Telstra is a mess.

    • So I was finally ported over yesterday, after no phone call…. Pretty random as they told me before the deal didn't go through for my contract.

      Now to chase up my gift card.

      You better call them and ask, I called again today and was told my order info was amended due to whatever issue and they forgot to update that info with whoever distribute the GC, hence my card was never sent, he said he will wait till his supervisor comes in to discuss and call me back today, and of course there was no call back at all, need to chase up again tomorrow.
