  • Have you used this? My recollection from looking at this a few years ago was that you needed a US mobile number in order to take up the trial?

    • +2

Yep using it right now. Just signed up with my normal google account, didn’t even need an US version.

      • Hey mate do you mind explaining the steps you took - i.e. did you wait until you were over there, are there any steps that can be done prior to departure, etc :)

        Thanks

  • Worked for me

  • I used this on a recent trip, it actually worked for a month then they tried to charge me (used a revolut card so it failed)

There's also verizon 30 day free trial and that seemed to have better coverage for me

      • you need an active wifi connection and to actually be in the usa not much else to it, asks for a credit card number i think i used a revolut virtual card for that

        • Do you need a USA google account?

          • @isthisreallife22: you can sign up for as many google accounts as you like?

            • @realaccount627465746: oh yeah no issues there - just wanting to avoid any unnecessary errors when I'm arriving in a new country.

Also as an android user I imagine it will default to my phone's google account, so might need to work around that

  • Does google have a dedicated network or does it just jump between them?

Edit: no worry seems to be t-mobile
