$20 Cashback on $20 Woolworths Mobile Prepaid Starter Kit | 11GB | 30 Days | Unlimited National Talk & Text @ ShopBack

360

Hey guys, Shopback has listed Woolworth's $20 Starter Kit with 11GB Data in ongoing 'Deals', meaning you will get assured Cashback (Deal is honored by Shopback)

Inclusions:

  • Unlimited calls and text (Standard National)
  • 11GB Data (includes 6GB base + 5GB bonus on activation by 31st August)
  • 200 GB Data Bank
  • Activate a $20 plan between 1 and 31 August 2020 11:59pm AEST to receive a 5GB bonus in Data Bank.
  • 10% off your grocery shop every month. Save up to $50 a month. That could help cover the cost of your phone bill.

Effective cost $0 after getting $20 Cashback from Shopback. I think the only concern may be receiving the SIM by 31st August to be able to activate in time.

Not worth it. And given Woolworths track record they might update the cashback terms and not honor it.

  • Do we need to activate within 30 days? Doesn't state explicitly but I think Woolworths expects that. So be ready to fight it out in case you want to hold the activation beyond 30 days.

    • You need to activate by 31st August to get the Bonus 5GB Data. Also, Shopback lists the offer validity as 31st August. So its best to activate by 31st August.

I think that is for the purchase and not activation. I will drop them the query,

      • Edit - Support confirmed via chat that I don't have to activate within 30 days as merchant hasn't specified that in T&C. I think that's a plain miss as CashRewards team checked with Woolies and Woolies was adamant about activating within 30 days for cashback inspite of postal delays in delivering the SIM card!

        • So is there any date it does have to be activated by?

  • +6

    I don't think it'll arrived by 31st Aug?

Not worth the risk on shopback. Always have issues with these 'bonus' deals.

It's funny how everyone's experience varies. I always have issue with cashrewards but shopback always works.

  • What if the sim card arrives after 31/8? And how to get the 10% off groceries please?

    • +1

It will definitely not arrive before 31st if you order today. I had ordered on 14th Aug (when this was on sale for $10) and am still waiting for the delivery.

With the 10% off groceries I think you have to be with woolworths mobile for 60 days to get that, its details are buried somewhere in the terms and conditions.

  • Will I have to stay on the $20 plan or can I switch to $10 plan?

  • We have received takedown requests from representatives from Woolworths that they are going out of stock on this item. ShopBack too has marked this offer as expired from their page.

Therefore we are marking this offer as expired on OzBargain.

Probably the first time Woolworth's Mobile was OzBargain'd ??

      • Only 190 clicks too. Likely less than half of them actually get the deal

How can one even go out of stock of SIM cards? I mean the whole point of a Telco is to get more new subscribers!

  • Shopback as further updated terms:
Due to unforeseen circumstances pre-paid orders will not be eligible for cash-back from 26/08/20 until further notice. Customers who cancel their plans within 30 days of activating the SIM will not be eligible for cashback.

Cashback for Prepaid is now $0.00.

    • Customers who cancel their plans within 30 days of activating the SIM will not be eligible for cashback.

Wow, what a bait and switch. My SIM has just arrived but now I'm too scared to activate it…

      • But there's no other way, right? You'd lose anyway if you dont activate it.
Are you planning to return it? Does that work?

        • I guess I'll have to try, if ShopBack doesn't do the right thing and honour the original terms.
