Correct me if I'm wrong but the coupon isn't listed on their website so it may track but be declined?

    • Yh it says pending will update if it declines, first time using cashrewards myself

  • Seems like a great deal. Is there a way to extend the warranty?

    • 60 2 years
      115 3 years
      158 4 years

    • Don't we have 2 years warranty according to the LAW?

  • Whats expected Battery life under load

    • +2

Tell you when I get it, though I’d expect 5-6hours plus of regular use word, YouTube. Gaming u got plug da mfkka in

    • 80 Wh battery is pretty good for a cheap laptop but if by load you mean games you're not going to get more than 1-2 hours.

      • Will perform like shit due decreased wattage, basically have to plug it in to play demanding games, though cpu tasks probably okay

    • I’m only charging to 80% to save battery and getting 6 hours plus of Netflix. Thought I had some battery issues as was draining fast and battery indicating 2 hours After charge, buts it’s work normally after fiddling with settings.

Was running hot on games like 90+ cpu but also nows it running great like mostly below 80, up to high 80s on some of the more demanding games and scenes, gpu is cool like 60-70. Great to game on I prefer it more then my 2070 super desktop, getting great fps really surprised. Keyboard is great

      • Bit of coil whine at low speeds, if your not watching something you can hear it

  • Pretty decent price for a good gaming spec Lenovo.
    Just missing a camera.

    • Plan on using iPhone with a swivel

      • Of course I could setup an SLR on a tripod but that is quite sad considering this is a $2K laptop
Apart from that the laptop spec is great

        • Can get like magnet thing that goes on back of the laptop for phone, and either do it by cord for no latency or wifi. Pre COVID never used it

    Nits in the description.
    Well done op

ive done my big share of researching gaming laptops under $2k and advice from a friend.

basically it comes down to 144mhz, 16gb ram (expandable), rtx 2060.

boiled down to asus tuf (overheat issues tho, so def not this), msi gf65 $2200-2300 with above specs and overpriced for same specs or aftershock apex $1888 (legion doesnt have webcam, apex does)

in the end it comes down to whether you'll use webcam, brand, design, bezel, etc. just my 5cents.

These are a little over $2k but I like the idea of all that power and 1.7kg - https://www.aftershockpc.com.au/welcome/Productinner/vapor-1… - the Legion is 2.5kg by comparison… I just bought a used Metabox i7 6700k/gtx1070 machine for $400 but that's 2.8kg!..

      • +1

        for $400 that's a great bargain.

      • Looks mint, jarrod review of last model if anyones keen for aftershock: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPnk6HUpQrs , need undvervolt like most slim laptops, 5pi probs needs undervolt aswell

        • just a BONUS. use cash rewards for this legion laptop further 6.5% (approx $124 off), which brings the legion down to approximately $1697.

with the NEW above rewards factored in, legion laptop with cash rewards 6.5% discount, legion is the better laptop with faster ram. with the extra $170 difference you can buy a 3rd party webcam, with even more left, so i recommend legion with cashrewards for sure.

if u find urself out and about with a gaming laptop, definitely aftershock tho for the lightweightedness. i, for one, will always have it plugged in so weight is not an issue (although i like the aftershock apex minimalistic design, another downside is loud mechanical keys)

          have fun deciding guys!

      • Great product and i hear they have great customer service.
But have to pay extra $179 for Windows 10. + Extra for warranty because I don't live in VIC.

    • https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/Laptops-&-Notebooks/Gami… in my searches I just came across this - pre-order but looks to tick all the boxes…

      • That's exactly what i'm after except for the 46.74WH battery…
I imagine that would only last around 2 hours

    • I've tried going through the aftershock website, how did you end up having $1888?

  • $50 coupon code online, do a google search for it thats how i foudn mine

    • I clicked base spec for apex 15 lite. 1) Chose performance edition rtx 2060. 2) Memory Ram 16gb. 3) Windows 10 Home. It totals up $2077. -$50 coupon = $2027.

  • get it without windows 10, it should bring it to 1888 with coupon code. after that, just use unregistered windows 10 which is free.

  • but i highly recommend the lenovo legion. it already comes with windows 10. look at my earlier post
