NU Toilet Suite with Installation $299, Kitchen Mixer Tap $79.99, Heated Towel Rail $99.99 @ ALDI

250

Saw the catalogue today and the toilet suite is $299 installed. Unfortunately, I chucked the Aldi catalog in the recycle bin instead of Spotlight's catalog. I will try to upload the picture tomorrow after retrieving it from the bin.

I know you are hurting… but the pain won't last long.

      • I've been hoping for that… these last 29 years

    Suite, thanks.

Last time I purchased one, booked installation which was PITA, then there was no show/no call from the plumber. After almost 8 weeks of no successful booking/installation, I returned it, the left-over stocks were on special for half the price by then.

But it's still a good deal.

    • A toilet for $150 installed? That's practically free!

Toilet Suite Installed $299 @ ALDI

Who installs it? One of the Aldi staff?

    • They could give you great advice about sitting on it

        You're just talking crap.

          You rang?

They send the new trainees out with the left handed hammer. What could go wrong.

On a side note these toilets are hideous. Better cheaper options from bunnings and get a plumber to install

    • It will be installed by a plumber from your area assigned by the company which supplies the toilet seat to Aldi (NU). I asked the plumber who installed mine how much would he usually charge for installing a toilet seat bought from Bunnings and he said he can supply toilet seat and installation for $900.

I also want to add that aside from the $299, there are additional costs like if your old toilet seat is connected by a fixed solid pipe instead of a flexible hose, it needs to be replaced and this costs something like $50.

I also have to wait like 2 months from booking for the installation. This maybe because I bought a returned set and I might have been the last on the queue.

        Holy crap !!!!!!!

Whoa!!! $299 is a great deal then.

Bunnings have price matched this the last few times. Install booked through hi pages. Better off going with bunnings and a caroma set (which you can get parts for if needed). Had no issues with the installation.

    • What was the install booking process like

      • The package includes instructions to visit a website and you choose the date based on a calendar view. Plumber will contact you nearer the appointment date to confirm. Installation took around 2 hours. I think there are only 4 appointments available per day but they might have more than one plumber working for them.

Any ideas which bunnings suite it was? Did they price match a Caroma?

  • I read 'toilet seat', and thought, 'ooh, must be one of those fancy, bum-washing ones'.

These don't look like the flat to the wall modern toilet (so you still need to get down and scrub behind it).

Installation really is just connect pipe to sewer, silicone to the ground, connect inlet water.

    In summary, pass!

    • simple install but still charge big bucks

  • If anyone is in Perth and wants a rimless Caroma, you can try what I did and pricematch this one at Bunnings retailing $545 with this one which brings it under $450.

Even though the competitor's website states 'out of stock' and model number is absent, I got it through. Try your luck!

    • Thanks

      How about installation

      • I do this myself

    • I suspect Bunnings might do some sort of deal to match this offer when it comes out.

  • Ah this is for S trap only, not for pipe through wall

  • Was expecting someone to comment that this deal is for pieces of s***!

  • Good timing… mines been leaking out the base and no plumber will reseal it as my toilets apparently likely to break since its grouted in.
