  How on earth can they make it so cheap? Speedlight used to be so expensive. Nikon is making a huge amount of profit margin then.

    i suppose the technology itself is relatively old…

    but it is amazing how when the Chinese set out to wreck the market, they do a stunning job of it.
    Back in my day, if you wanted a cheap flash, you gave up fancy functions like TTL, and still were paying $200+ for a Nissin brand one.
