  For the Asus U31SD, the weight should be 1.78kg not 1.78lb, otherwise the laptop would have a weight of 0.807kg which would be awesome.

    The Lenovo is solid but if you are looking to game or anything that relies heavily on the graphics card I suggest you look away. Other then that good laptop with decent battery life.

  With the Viewsonic monitor - is the bookstand included? On Viewsonic site it says both stands are included.

    can't find info on the stand being included. only info found is:
    Package Contents:
    LCD display, power cable, VGA video cable, HDMI cable, audio cable, Quick Start Guide, ViewSonic Wizard CD (User Guide and drivers)

    I will have to say no book stand included, to be on the safe side, and avoid disappointment.

    If you click on the link, it will give you a diagram where the area of the monitor is divided into 9 sections. Each section or each group of sections have an acceptable criteria for warranty in regards to dead pixels.

    Acceptable Criteria:

    Area 1: Zero (0) Dead pixel is accepted
    Area 2, 3, 4, & 5: One (1) Dead pixel is accepted
    Area 6, 7, 8, & 9: Two (2) Dead pixel are accepted
