Happy Long Weekend!

Here's a detailed review of the product:

What I liked: Although my kids are no longer toddlers, we do have the occasional iPad spill off the side of the sofa or on the tile floor, so I appreciate the protection the Aegis provides for my device. I also like the nice selection of colors and believe at least one of the choices should meet the desires of the majority of iPad 2 users.

What I didn’t like: The Aegis is a two piece case that takes a little bit of time to get the different pieces properly aligned and assembled, which may be a drawback for those of you who prefer the one step approach. The other potential drawback I found was the position of the stand. My kids and I often use my iPad to watch movies and I found it somewhat frustrating that the stand only worked in portrait mode.

To buy or not to buy: If you’re looking for a good quality case at a nice price point, Trident’s Aegis is definitely a solid option.

Based on previous comments + experience, I'll say Gadget Boutique has some serious shipping issues. Personally, Ii had tried to purchase a iLuv charger from them but there was no confirmation invoice or any form of communication between me and the staff (probably a sole trader). They refunded me after i chased up to them regarding the status of my order weeks after my purchase. I'll hold off the neg but buyers beware.

10 days later and it's still "processing".
Also I emailed you guys last week regarding the delay and never received a reply.
When is my order going to be shipped? Otherwise I'm asking for a refund.

    • Off course, you should always be ware of these kind of shops without a physical address, they do dropshiping!

  • Above comments are valid,

    Shipping were seriously delayed.

    Some gone haywire.

But you should also state all facts,

And that is those who didn't get the items got a refund

Those who were delayed with multiple purchases got a freebie

The last two sales deliveries were horrid, we had a semitrailer of goods sent over from Melbourne and there delays after delays.

I did mentioned i was refunded if you look hard enough. No one knows if you refunded everyone else, no one knows if you really delivered freebies to those with multiple delays. Your semi-lack of response/communication is the part worth mentioning to warn potential buyers. Really? Is it that hard to inform customers of shipping delay?

  • As for this deal, item in warehouse.

Goods will be sent out with tracking on tuesday and no later

  • Sorry but have to neg because of your misleading title and description: "RRP $59.95" so when did you ever had this item listed for this price?

  • Never, we dont stock items unless we can get it less than retail

RRP is what you pay if you go to a shop

    • I know you already did you research but you can't point to someone else RRP, it must be yours.

apple store will be starting point,

No, I don't make my own RRP and we are not trident.

  • Bad memories are fresh,

But we are not new to the Ozb,

Audio technica deals, prior to the iluv and Disney sale were all very well received.

Shipping problems are noted, won't happen again

  • I've bought at least twice from them and very happy.
Got a SPECK case for my iPad and MacBook Pro, both times advertised here on Ozbargain.
Would have no qualms about buying again.
It's good to have locally shops selling quality iPad/iPhone and MacBook accessories at much better prices than the apple store.

  • It's no long weekend for me.
