EUFY 2c Wireless 1080p Security Camera System Twin $320, 3 Camera $440, 4 Camera $560 @ Supercheap Auto

1190
FRENZY20

I missed out on the previous deal for the twin camera pack for $280, so have been keeping an eye out for something similar.

While this 20% off sale brings the twin pack to $320, as you go to the 3 ($440) and then 4 pack ($560) the per camera price slides down to ~$140/camera. Free shipping, too. Perfect if you need a number of cameras. Hope that helps some other OzBargainers looking for a similar solution! Cheaper than Arlo and other similar solutions!

Swann is owned by infinova group which is owned by infinova Shenzhen. Majority of the other security cameras are Chinese made.

    • USA frequently sanctions various countries and increase tariffs and no one seems to care, but God forbid China throw their economic weight around. China is terrible and does terrible things but don't pretend other countries are squeaky clean.

I would love to by from an Australian company like Swann if their products weren't so unreliable and over priced.

  • Cheers. Bought the 4 pack.

  • I bought this last week at full price. It’s already installed!

    Damn!

    Great system btw

Club members get price difference credited back to your account.

      • I guess I can’t sign up retrospectively?

        • Ok go this way. I don’t know if they have changed their change of mind refund policy because of the Coronavirus and if it hasn’t changed yet, buy one now keep it sealed and refund the next day you receive it with the old receipt. Good luck.

    • +2

Buy another one, return this unopened one with old receipt

      • be careful that's fraud

      • Could also claim price protection through your credit card that you bought it with.

  • Is this with Homebase 2 that is HomeKit compatible?

  • +3

Got it for $280 is the last deal. Highly recommended. Better video quality than Arlo 2, longer battery life too and the best thing is that these work without an active cloud subscription and can also record on a NAS.

    • Do you use a solar panel to charge them, or have to dismount every few months to connect to power?
Can I also ask how many events are stored on the device (16GB) - are you able to look back 7-10 days at least?
      Thanks!

      • +4

I have them mounted for approximately two months now and the battery still shows full! It helps that I am working from home and I have the movement detection enabled only from 11 in the night to 6 in the morning. When the battery does eventually discharge, you will have to take them off, which is relatively easy and can be done without tools, and recharge. I am not aware of any solar panel charger like they have for Arlo series. Hope that helps.

        • Very helpful, thanks!

        • does yours turn on the led lights when there is motion at night ?

          • +1

@RichieVn: You can enable or disable this.

            • @dealsucker: I think he's asking in regards to battery life, if you have the IR lights enabled surely the battery would drain faster?

              • @Agret: When the footage of a movement is recorded in the night, it is automatically recorded with infra red led's on. It doesnt hurt the battery because they are not on all the time. They are only on when either you watch the feed from the camera in the app or when there is a movement. The movement detection isnt enabled by the camera, i think there is another low power chip which enables it.

Yes you can use solar panel and can look back up to 30 days

Bought the 4 pack, have been waiting for the system as well.. I live in a rental so cbf with getting up in the manhole and stuffing around with cables.
This will be perfect for what I want.

  • I've had a look at the website and its not particularly clear. can these be hard wired in(USB cable back to an adapter?)

    • +2

I found some YouTube videos suggesting they can be hard wired - in one video they connected the USB cable to the outdoor light via an adaptor, so that every time you switch on the light, it would charge the camera. In another video they connected the USB cable to a solar panel..

  • Had anyone got the cloud subscription working on these?

  • bought the arlo pro 2 4 pack from RACV last night, but found out they don't offer cancellation (poor form and hard to find the information on their website about this)

    • From experience they have the worst customer service.

      • Is this refer to Arlo or RACV? lol

Since Arlo is also worst customer service according to many reviews. But Now RACV happy to provide the refund after I emailed back about I'm unhappy about it.

        • happy to buy it off you? PM me if works for you.

    • I did the same thing, but they finally caved in and offered a refund as I argued that the product has not yet been shipped / goods received.

  • +2

Any suggestions for a hard wired security camera kit similar to this? I'd rather run some wires under the roof then have to recharge every 4 months or so 😬

    • +1

I was very close to pulling the trigger on a Reolink 4 cam POE system for around $450, but bought the Eufy 3 pack today from this deal, mostly so I don't have to mess around in my cramped roof space, cut holes in my eaves for cabling, and worry about where to get access for all the wiring to come into the house (thats also near the modem). The trade off is charging the cameras, but the installation will be much easier.

      • You weren't tempted by the solar panel packages with the Reolink Argus line?

        • Hmm not really, I don’t have much room for a solar panel with a short distance

  • +1

Can anyone confirm that the spotlight turns out automatically when motion is detected? Reading mixed things on the internet so far.

    • I think so….

      • +2

I've read that it didn't at first, but an app update has fixed it?

    • +2

Always does from whatever firmware available in Jan20.

    • turn on? yeh man mine do if set to spotlight and not IR

  • Are the batteries replaceable once they are out of life?

    • You can either recharge the batteries or toss the camera and buy a new one.

      • Thnx, that's not a good option but everything is use n throw these days.

        • You could probably open the battery and replace the cells

  • Anyone got their shipping notifications yet??

    • I got a notification that mine is ready for pickup about an hour after I ordered. Not sure if that makes any difference to you

    • Mine still said Awaiting Processing

What's the spotlight strength like? I've heard "30 feet in pitch darkness" to "useless outside six feet". I am not expecting a floodlight, but curious to know from actual owners if those 12 lumen lights are totally useless, useable for very close quarter shots eg a front door porch, or surprisingly bright over a backyard.

    • Def useable for close quarters shots up to a maybe 3m, but better if another lightsource too (kinda defeats purpose a bit tho of course, but then you get even clearer colour recording vs IR). Degrades at distance to a more ambient light. Check out the lifehackster vid review

      • Yes, I had a look at that, though it only showed the night vision shot - not what the beam looks like IRL, if that makes sense. I did see another chap review the 2C that showed a bit of it and it prob suffices to remind an intruder they've been spotted, but prob not much chop for IDing faces at beyond three metres, as you say. Worth keeping in mind when setting position - not much point having it on a second story window if your main purpose is to capture night imagery.

Thanks OP, bought the two pack to get started! :)

If this home base doesn't have battery back up, what sort of UPS would be required to keep the cameras operational for say 12/24 hours?
Having a quick look at power consumption calculators, it seems to keep the homebase and a router (may as well do both if I'm getting a UPS right?) running for any length of time requires a rather large power supply?

    • Please note that the cameras also require an active internet connection. So the UPS will need to run your modem and router also.

      • Can it still record to the base if the UPS was only connected to the base station and not the router?

        • In my experience it will continue to record for about 15 minutes but not after that. I have raised a ticket with eufy who said they would fix it but that was six months ago and hasn’t been fixed yet.

  • Apparently 2C is the only model which doesn't have Anti-theft function.

  • How kind do SCA usually take to ship? I have got tracking yet, has anyone else?

    • Mine got delivered today, ordered two days ago

      • Did you get the two-pack? Everything else is "special order" so I assume they don't have the stock on hand.

Haven't received any notification or package at my door yet.

        • I placed a single order yesterday for 2 items - the 4 pack eufy (on special order) and something else (normal stocked item). I just got a tracking number for the other item but the eufy is still showing as awaiting processing.

          • @ccrap: I ordered the 3 pack (also special order) on Wed, and just got a shipping notification

        • I ordered the 2 pack

  • Ordered the 4-pack. Still no tracking/shipping info/confirmation

    • +1

In the same boat.. I recon they have to order them in or something.

      • Any updates? I am still waiting.

        • Yeah i'm still waiting

          • +1

@adamshere: Received my 3 pack today

            • @WillisAU: Just the 4 pack to go haha

              • @adamshere: oh man. My 4 pack is still "Awaiting Processing"

                • @ccrap: I sent them email yesterday, asking for an update so hopefully, I get something today.

                  • @adamshere: Yay just got a tracking number come through (didn't contact them). Number isn't active on AusPost yet, but going by my other item's turnaround time from when I received the tracking number, it should hopefully be here by Friday.

                    • @ccrap: Yup! Just got a text to notify me that it has been shipped. Awesome news!

                      • @adamshere: Same here, 4-pack is on its way!

                      • +1

@adamshere: Wow, that was a quick transition from notification to delivery - package came early this morning! Happy days :) Hope you guys have yours soon!

                        • @ccrap: I got the 4 pack delivered yesterday too. Very happy with the service.

  • Got the 2 pack and struggling to get the cameras to record when detecting motion.

When I put it in 'Motion Test Mode' it seems to detect motion really well, but it very sporadically chooses to record video when live :/

  • Sent an online inquiry bout my order & received this:
"We have looked into your order and it appears we have exhausted our stock for this item, so we can not resend a replacement , therefore we have raised a refund request with our online team to process. Due to experiencing extremely high volumes, extending our processing time out to approximately 11 days. Please know we are doing our best to reduce the time frame and apologise for the impact this delay is having. Once they have processed this you will receive a conformation email to advise of the refund. Please allow 3-5 days for the funds to appear. Should you have further questions or concerns please contact us at your convenience."

    • oh no mate. which one did you order? I can see the 2 pack is still in stock at Auburn, Blacktown and Wetherill Park? You can try your postcode on the site and then get in touch with them to allow you to take from the available store?

      • I ordered the 3 pack. Seems to be still available online. Though, looks like stock isn't being updated in real-time. I've told them I'm willing to wait for stock. No response yet, fingers crossed.

        • Unfortunately 3 and 4 pack were both special order, meaning once you order, only then do they order from the supplier/ distributor. It will almost always show as ‘in stock’ on the site for this reason but will always be subject to supplier availability and lead times. Best bet then is to say what you did ie you’re happy to wait for stock and hope they’re willing to leave your order In pending state till supplier restocks. G’luck!

          • @ccrap: Thanks for the info. Apparently they cant leave my order open or on pending, as they dont know when stock will arrive. They just went ahead with processing the refund & 5 business days later, no refund. They atleast need to mention its out of stock on their site - another sale tommo & cams are still available to purchase online hmmm

  • FYI for anyone looking for these, maybe check the SCA sale on this weekend as it's supposed to be 25-50% off storewide.

    • Unfortunately, haven't even received my order for this sale. No refund either. So might just re-purchase. Hopefully don't end up with two sets.
