  • Thanks been looking for a service like this, haven't been too happy with my others.

    • Which ones have you tried so far?

      • +3

Shipitto is good and the cheapest i've found so far.

ShopMate (Auspost) is garbo, don't use them.

Used a few others but quite a bit pricey compared to Shipitto.

        • Why is ShopMate garbo? I used it once for shoes and it was a bit pricey but it worked great for me. Also bit nice having Aus Post handle the whole thing

          • @blackwalnut68: I had issues, and when you have issues it's a major hassle. Half their departments refer you to the specific shopmate contacts, even though on the shopmate site it tells you to contact auspost.

          • @blackwalnut68: shopmate is overcharging the thing is that if the merchant doesnt offer parcel consolidation from different sellers its garbage honestly.
I wanna save up buying from overseas, shipping all things in one big package from different sellers, at different times.
I dont wanna pay massive taxes to the government for no reason.
Thats why i never use shopmate after that one transaction i had. They legit ask me to pay money to them to dispose off a package of worth like 5$ or something, i had accidentally bought thinking shopmate will consolidate it. so if i went did shopmate i'd have payed like 30 aud for an item worth like 3 usd or something, regardless of what the item was even disposing of paper is 5$ or gold is 5$ too.

I went with this guy from newyork, think it was JonnyBazzar or something like that i payed all items, shipping and taxes, at my own choice

The issue with shopmate is it’s actually owned and run by Singapore post and resold by Aus post.
I won’t use them again. Had issues with being charged to repackage and they didn’t repackage just added label and the box arrived smashed and had to get retailer to send a new item which sat in their warehouse for ages while I disputed paying again after they damaged first parcel.
They are impossible to deal with and with Aus post being middle man if something goes wrong it’s a long and difficult process to resolve as Singapore post has to make the final decision.

i ended up paying like 72 US dollars for like 2 laptops sealed in box and a bit more may a bit less than 5 kg.

Why do you ask for Income info when sign up?

    • -2

Parent company could be Chinese, and their ML model probably needs this info.

    • +2

      it's not mandatory anyway

You could buy a non Exynos S20 and actually be happy with the phone.

Was actually looking to forward a parcel. However the fake reviews for $5 credit put me off:
    https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/buyandship

3 identical copy and pastes, I'd say you didn't get your $5 worth.

  • Fake company with poor service

  • +3

I just registered and just so you all know, the $14 credits only last 90 days, so unless you're looking to ship a parcel soon, it's not worth signing up because it'll expire.

    Do you ship mobile phone?

  • This looks pretty expensive for a service that sends your items to HK and then reships

  • now i can get around Loake's stupid international shipping policy

  • +1

I found 4PX sea line which is Taobao's official logistic service is the cheapest international shipping service if you want to ship something from China to Australia. CNY $66 (AUD $14) for the first kg and then CNY $6 (AUD $1.3) for every 500g, the only problem is you can only use this service to ship orders from Taobao, they don't accept items outside Taobao.

    • Off topic but are you able to give me a good guide on how to pay for stuff on taobao? I have some basic chinese read enough Chinese characters to navigate the site but yeah doing the payment thing is confusing.

      • +2

Try place order on Taobao and pay through Alipay mobile app, they have English version for Alipay. Login Alipay with your Taobao id and you should be able to find your order in transaction history, then you can pay your order from there, they accept VISA and Mastercard. Or, after placing your order on Taobao you will be redirected to Alipay, I'm not sure if they have Enligh website but they accept VISA and Mastercard on their desktop site as well.

    • is that the "官方集运-海运" shipping method?

how long does that usually take to get to australia?

      • +1

Yes, last time it took one month but due to the coronavirus thing now there will be delays (probably two months).

  • Never give Alipay your credit card info.
    The problems are
… the List is too long
but I think you all knew a couple.

  • is this service any good if i apply for global transfer of my amex to usa one and get it delivered to this mob will they forward to my address in australia?
