Ah, I've been expecting you.

While considering the half price Futurama box set I found this James Bond box set for half price.

Cheaper than iTunes, eBay, Amazon. Pretty much the cheapest anywhere. Not on Disney Plus yet.

Includes Dr No, From Russia with Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Diamonds Are Forever, Live and Let Die, The Man With The Golden Gun, The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy, A View To A Kill, The Living Daylights, Licence To Kill, Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World I Not Enough, Kew Another Day, Casino Royale, Quantum Of Solace, Skyfall, Spectre

(Never heard of Kew Another Day, could be worth checking out)

Doesn't seem to include Never Say Never Again or Casino Royale (1967), but I could be wrong.

The perfect way to start a collection.

Free pickup or $3.90 shipping. That's a bargain by itself.

Good price, but if you're not bothered about physical copies they're all streaming on Stan.

    Who buys DVDs?

Minimum I'd get is Bluray, but that's just me.

$100 at sanity and I didn't really look much

Bluray is the sweet spot, substantial improvement over DVD's and many 4k releases are just upscaled from 2k masters anyway.

the 60's Bond films on Bluray look absolutely schmicko.

4K blu ray also gives you the Dolby Atmos or other HD audio as well, and even if the vdeo is just upscaled 2k or even 1080p, the HD audio can be a big improvement. Even on my stereo speakers the Atmos tracks always sound excellent.

    • These will all be on 4k soon enough. Buy these DVDs for a James Bond loving child that doesn't take care of their discs maybe.

  • the 'M' rating sticker in the picture made me think it was a NVME drive for a second XD

    • I honestly thought a was a memory DIM.

Never Say Never Again is not an official film. Casino Royale (1967) is a spoof.

  • edit: beaten by above post.

  • Never Say Never Again and Casino Royale (1967) weren't MGM (via Eon) produced films, but MGM eventually acquired distribution rights for both. There was a lawsuit concerning NSNA that wasn't settled in time for the 50th anniversary set, but not sure why this collection doesn't contain both, or at least NSNA.

  • They are available in 4k on Stan

  • FWIW "Kew another day" is either a fairly short film about giving up after waiting for a proper martini, or a typo for "Die another day".

    • Have you heard of The World I Not Enough?

Sounds like a film about waiting for a pair of prescription glasses.

Some might think it's actually "The World Is Not Enough" when in fact this is a Yorkshire documentary following a young lad and his obsession with how good his mum's black puddings are. The quote is an extract from the full "ee ba gum, the world i' not enough to pay for me ma's black pud!" For more info also see https://youtu.be/de7P8Ngx-_4?t=28

  • seems expensive for DVD, maybe good price for blu ray

Whats sad was I remember having to buy these individually on DVD for $30 each, until one day I think Big W had them on sale for $18! Still I want to replace with Bluray versions…. one day.
