so cheerful about this. 😃 wanted to watch it since it showed in the TV app and was considering renting it when it was discounted, but I can watch it now on my Stan sub!

one of the genres it's mentioned as is "dark comedy" but I am going to go into it without thinking of it as a comedy at all.

  • also I was wrong about Stan upping their price of base tier which I am on. Basic is still $12 a month, I thought it was going up to $17 but that's the Standard tier. I had subbed and been watching Stan about 3 months in a row now because I thought apple subs area locked in the price for me if I let it renew. but I was wrong, so I can take a break and move to another sub now.

    If anyone has any trials etc for Stan, let me know. Can’t find anything anywhere but thinking there’d surely be a code from a flyer or a partnership deal somewhere!

      Mubi has the streaming rights for 'The Substance' for most of the northern hemisphere, and comes with a seven day free trial, so if you're keen and able you can use VPN skills to access that.

      Stan, like Netflix, have almost all full paying subscribers, and so actually turn a profit. It's Binge and Paramount that get desperate and basically give it away to claim they have X amount of subscribers but suffer financially. Probably only going to get worse for Binge once DAZN takes full ownership of Foxtel later this year and focuses on the sport side of things. Stan used to have a 30 day free trial but that ended a year ago.

        I have a visceral adversion for Stan, especially for their Sport package , which they don't allow unless you subscribe their crappy entertainment package first.

        So, any movie that gets added to any streaming platform is a valid deal post? Cool ok, I'll remove my neg but it doesn't make much sense to me

    I've been watching horror for nearly 30 years and I can't remember a movie that has made me this uncomfortable. I can sit through movies like Terrifier no problem, but literally covered my eyes multiple times during this one - great movie that I never want to think about ever again.
