This is the answer we need to know
No, Mate ! Unfortunately they didn’t have the Dual boiler at all.
Great Machine, picked it up the other day for Mother’s Day. Seems to be doing good and cheapest, from a store. Too bad it ends today
Can you order online at this price?
No instore only
Bambino Plus for $330 from Good Guys Commercial plus the Smart Pro Grinder for $199 from Bing Lee. A better combo than this because the Bambino Plus has the auto frother.
Which can be really annoying unless you use the same milk. I prefer a single machine and single PowerPoint and single point of mess. Either set up will be great though.
I’ve got this combo, and making some really nice coffee at home. I don’t buy take away anymore because I reckon mine is as good!
This price ends tonight
But if you signup can you place order at this price?
No instore only online price no discount
Paid $399 from. Breville factory seconds. Great machine and so many settings, be prepared to waste loads of beans haha.
Hey, I'm interested in this, didn't know it was possible, where can you buy their factory seconds from?
I just do a google maps search of insert brand name factory seconds. There was a breville one near me, so called up and they had a black one for $399 damaged box.
Tried looking up in VIC, can't find one.
@karseeeejaaaa: I think it closed recently, was on Smith St.
Paid $470 from JB last December, with 2kg beans on redemption.
wow cheap! from boxing day sales? or just a random sales?
About two weeks before Xmas. Think I came across it on OzB for low $500s and then used a 5% off voucher ("Wicked Wednesday")
what's the 5% voucher? is that a jb thing allowing discount on any items?
I need to keep an eye out then for a mid $400s machine in this case….
@SaberX: JB does them some Wednesdays along with sales. Not sure if still a thing. Maybe fairly infrequent
Hi Guys, have been eyeing BES878BSS for a while now. Can anyone who has access to TGG Commerical check the price of this machine?
Looks like it went on a 20% sale in March which I unfortunately missed
They don't appear to currently have that model on TGG Commercial.
Just realised this too, the model is taken off their website and they don't appear to be carrying them anymore. Same thing happened with a new model LG dryer I've been eyeing. Weird ..
Recommended for anyone that doesn't want a coffee machine and grinder monopolising their kitchen bench space. We've had the older model (BES860) for 6 years now and still going strong after a (free) grinder shim upgrade. I believe they fixed that design problem in the new model.
I have an original BES860 here also, still going strong after a similar period. Does at least 4 cups a day.
I've had two, fixed the grinder in the first, the main valve in the second. Excellent machines in comparison to any other consumer model/brand. Until you experience, and decide you need, a dual boiler one to get total perfection
A good price for a reliable machine, thanks for sharing :D
What is the dual boiler people asking about? I am new to this..coming from Nespresso:)
And should I really go for the 878 instead of this?…thanks for your helpDual boiler has one boiler for the expresso, one for the steaming. Single boiler obviously both share same boiler. Main reason to have two is because the steam has to be much hotter than making coffee. After steaming with this model it cools down straight away ready to make the coffee (don't have to manually cool).
Thank you
Are you saying this 870BSS model cools down pretty quick after steaming milk to make the coffee? or is it a noticeable difference when going between coffee and milk frothing and back to more coffee when doing a few cups for guests (time wise)?
What model is the dual boiler, and presumably a lot more expensive than the 870BSS?
Buddy just a warning, you will have to work hard to get good trading coffee.
Ops…alot of youtube then
Yep, I love coffee, and feel that I'm starting to get the hang of the machine, and I've gone through a whole bag of coffee in 2 weeks, having binned half of the bag I would say. Also consider every new bag you get you will probably have to calibrate the machine again.
My biggest tip, is get the tamper process nailed and consistent before you start mucking around with grind size/ground courseness/shot size etc. Also I recommend getting a scale to help this whole process out, to measure out the ground.
@onlinepred: Doesn't sound easy….
Thanks for the tip anyhow
Title says BES870BSS, but the picture says BES875BSS ?
You can use a rice cooker at bigw 13$ to boil water, rice, plaster, hell anything that involves water.
Can't say it will be amazing but you can use the boiler plate glass to shiv the hot water into a mug.
Anyways can someone tell me why star bucks coffee tastes so bad.
Probably because you are making it?
I don't work for star bucks, maybe you do. Yay only 3
I believe only someone that works at Starbucks would suggest making coffee from a rice cooker. That or someone who has literally zero taste.
@onlinepred: It isn't about taste but practicality, and usefulness, but with star bucks flashy sales and core beliefs isn't so far of from a smug yuppie buying this product. Don't let the suit wear you, as the statement seems befitting.
@[Deactivated]: What the hell are you talking about lol. It isn't about taste. Why are you looking at a coffee machine when you don't have any taste at all?
For those that missed out, they have the cranberry one at jbhifi for $599. Less if you buy with discounted gift cards. Also comes with some
kind of bonus pack https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/breville-the-barista-expr…Very limited stock though. Nearest to me. 400km
Coming from nespresso pods… love a good cafe coffee. tried it at a friend's house where they showed me how some Toby estate beans went through. Tasted great! Just wondering how intuitive this is as although an automatic machine everyone keeps talking about it like you have to be a keen barista to get all the dosing, grinding and coffee right, that I am wondering if there are a lot of coffee fanatics out there with high expectations or is this machine really a pain for anyone who does want to put in some time to learn it but not spend the weekend going through half a kg back of coffee trialing?
It is a decent price for a grinder and coffee together? or are there better options where buying the seperate expensive grinders and espresso machine and combining them? Seems like there has been a few amazon/ebay/jb hi fi for mid $400 sales? So curious if this will be a good starting point into the area where you want to enjoy cafe style coffee (i like a real dark, strong flat white or long macc topepd up - which nespresso pods and many others struggle to get the strong kick in).
Anyone know how much new model is

How about the dual boiler?
