  • Need 5 prepaids for a year but looking for 200$ 200gb data each

The best deal for you would be catch connect https://catchconnect.com.au/products/mobile/365-day-plan/3
Get unidays 10% off and try to get the catchconnect gift cards at 20% off
It’ll work out at less than $200 a year per sim.

      • yes thanks ill be on a lookout for promo

Kogan is back. Pretty good deal.

    • And I don’t think Vodafone will kick them outa bed

My friend' 365 days plan with Kogan is ~ $28/m with 40Gb

    • I used to be on that too, 40gb for about $27 p/m. Moved to Boost start of the year and regret it so much.

      • Why the regret?

        • Boost speeds are pretty bad. Telstra network is known for their good coverage but their speed is a different story. I would trade the reception in an 10 second elevator trip and 15Mbps down speed for 60Mbps down minimum (could get over 100Mbps). Used the same phone with a Telstra sim, same poor speeds.

I moved with Boost nov last year and can't be more happier. I will be lookout for new boost/kogan/catch long term deal come this nov. Cant be bothered changing every 1 or 3 months.

      • Each time so tempted but been with Kogan yrs

    • This one is $22.61. It depends how much data is needed

Granted it’s not prepaid, but I’m not sure you can beat Dodo $5/month for calls/txt combined with $15/month Telstra XS Plan for Data if you can handle data shaping speeds of 1.5Mbps

    • Steptoe, would the esim work in iPhone? That’s pretty good if it does.

      • Telstra does esim so you’d be good to go with a newer iPhone for eg.

        • Yes currently using an Optus esim in my iPhone xr

          • @fozzie: So what’s with the question?

    • Not sure about data speeds/network, but my brother hasn't had a problem with Moose Mobile: https://moosemobile.com.au/

E.g. $14.8 pm (6GB) and $21.8 pm (18GB). No contract, included data is for first 24 months before reverting to less

I switched Kogan 365 days plan of $150 to Boost for $128 with added bonus of Free calls to 25 countries.
    Fully Enjoying it!

  • I'm with Kogan and have been for many years but always been on the 20Gb per month Plan, so with these 365 Day data plans your data does not reset each month it just gets taken out throughout the year, I guess it wouldn't be to bad hmm

  • Can you use Kogan gift card to buy the mobile plan voucher?

    • Yes

  • Any good plans out there with at least 30GB per month?

  • what's the cheapest prepaid plan for 12 months with data plan around 100-150gb?

    • +1

      Optus 120gb $150

      • thank you, I wasn't aware of this

        • Boost had an extra 40GB on their 80GB $150 packs back at the end of March. And they usually go down to $135 too. That was a great deal.

          • @CVonC: Cool, will keep an eye out for any deals. Two more weeks until my plan ends so will need to get something soon

            • @first in line: Can still get the 80gb for $128.25 pricebeaten @ OW

              • @CVonC: I need more than 80gb per year though. At least 100gb. So I think Optus would be the better deal for me. Just worried about the porting issue they have been having. Apparently long delays due to covid19

Was a big fan of Kogan Mobile due to their great prices, but now I wouldnt touch them with a ten foot pole. Customer service is non-existent. Pray you dont have a porting issue.

We had an issue last month, ended up putting in a complant with the Telecommunications Ombudsman after not being able to get through to their call centre to fix the issue. Vodafone ended up calling us back and resolving the problem. They told me that Kogan's Indian call centre was shutdown due to coronavirus. Vodafone was handling complaints in the interim. Must say that Vodafone was excellent though, managed to fix our problem immediately. I have moved over to Boost now with their $150 plan for $128 that was posted up recently.

Dont think I will ever do Kogan Mobile again after that mess.

  • Transferred from kogan to boost last year and they each have pro's and cons. Reception for boost has been perfect although speeds are a bit average (not that it's really noticeable) while kogan had average reception at best, never saw above 2 bars, while constantly getting 4-5 bars with boost. Personally would happily go back to kogan.

    • your comment doesn't make sense. you say kogan has average reception at best and that is always good. so why would you happily go back to kogan??

      • Because the handicapped reception that esome were touting wasn't really such a bad deal, didn't end up with drop outs, just looked bad on the phone.

        • I had plenty of data drop outs during my second year with kogan. Was frustrating tbh. Wasn't the case during the first year. This is in Sydney. Been with Catch the past year and it's not good either.
