    TIP: Most modern phones, at least Samsung, the photo app will automatically scan barcodes and QR code built in.

      These apps also create barcodes and QR images which I'm pretty sure most stock camera apps don't do

      I think it needs to be pointed out that "audioPro™ Music Player" and "PowerAudio Pro Music Player" have the exact same screenshots on the Google Play pages and I would suspect do the exact same thing. I'd be careful with these 2 apps and the company as a whole.

  Google Lens works fine as a barcode scanner and it's built right into Android. No need to download and install third party apps you don't need.

      Nothing wrong, no. But some apps, not saying this one does, but some apps take liberties with permissions and things. I try my best to keep my apps down to a minimum if possible.

          @Beyond: not sure why the downvote, but this is what I do. Download apps to a fake phone so I own them in case I ever want them, but don't want them on current phone right now.

          I think its related to the same disorder that makes me download ebooks and games and enrol in courses.

    No, it's built right into the Google Apps.
    Pure Android doesn't have that.

    There's a large range of people who use Android who don't use google apps.

    Scanning isn't the only purpose. Primary use for this app (at least for me) is to create barcodes and QR images

    The 30second ad as soon as open app is a real pain. Clicked to close video, that just starts video again.

  As always make sure you are comfortable with the permissions of these apps/games before you allow/download them.
  Most are pretty good but some of the apps require potentially intrusive permissions to work correctly for example both CPUz Pro & QR/Barcode Scanner Pro.
  Some require permissions that from the descriptions should not be required at all for example Combat Strike PRO & Pirate Defender Premium grab precise location and Cat in the Woods VIP has access to your contacts.
  Applocker & Gallery Vault Pro has an odd set of permissions but that may be part of the this feature from the description "With Inbuilt Intruder System Where You Can See Who Breaks Your Phone Security."

  Anyway thanks OP found a couple of new things to play with.
