Good ones are a lot more than this, at least $1k. Doubt this is going to be good, hopefully I'm wrong.

      • Closer to 10Ks for the good ones

    • +2

      Aldi brand?
      Aldi special buys?

        • $249 for a massage chair as the one advertised is a good deal to me. Let Ozbargain decide.

            • +3

@jv: It'll be an Aldi home brand name. Not available elsewhere?
              Ever been to Aldi before?

How do you know it's a bargain then?

They sell some absolute rubbish sometimes…

                • +2

@jv: Then return it with their 60 day returns

So you're saying this is not a bargain then?

Or it might be a bargain, depending on the quality???

                    • +2

@jv: It could be fine for $249 - if it lasts, a new massage chair for that price is a good deal. If it sucks, return it.

                        or it could not…

The OP should state why this is a bargain, otherwise best post in the forums under lotteries…

                      • +2

@giventofly: Not the easiest item to return, it would be a pain to transport either way.

Maybe that's their strategy, sell an ok (not great product) where the consumer decides it's too much of a hassle to return

@spy: Don't feed the troll mate.

    • My shoes retail for 350, I'm sure its decent.

Link says to bring a friend?

Are you allowed to visit them and pick them up to take with you to the store?

    • +2

      In some states you are.

  • +14

Don't waste money on these fake leather chair, won't last long.

    • +5

Agreed. However, if you can cover it in a soft sheet, it might last longer. But I'd expect these to be on the nature strip come next hard rubbish collection

      • +6

if you can cover it in a soft sheet, it might last longer.

and do you know how well it works?

Paying $249 for a crap massage chair that needs a sheet is not what i call a bargain…

      • +4

        New landfill.

      • -4

Sums up nicely most of the cheap and inferior crap that Aldi sells. Honestly I have no idea why Aldi appeals to anyone.

  • +3

The design doesnt look good for base part of the chair.

    I would be cautious.

I personally bought one for 1k and a bit and it still runs great after 5 years.

I don't think this one has much features either and won't do you any good.

Mine has arm, foot, neck and leg massage mechanisms built in.

Don't waste your money on this one.

      So does my wife…

      • +8

Until you run out of money. That's how mail order brides work. They're in it for the dough.

        • lololol 😅

        • -5

That's how mail order brides work.

I learnt my lesson and sent yours back for a refund…

I ended up buying local, might cost more upfront, but cheaper in the long term…

          • +1

@jv: Locals don’t want to work. There is usually a sound of headache or too tired.

            • @MuddyClear: You need to do your homework.

Choice magazine did a review recently…

All locals suffer from the same con. Also out of stock due to the coronavirus.

      • Ur son logged into your account again?

        Didn't realise they were married

      • So does my wife…

But how much does she normally cost?

    • Hi,just wondering what did you get for 1k. Am thinking to get a massage chair. Thank you!

  • If we cart this home, try it and it's no good, can we take it back to Aldi? 🤔

    • +1

Of course - 60 day returns policy

      • It works amazingly well for Aldi compressed mattresses.

    • +8

Yes, just use the same shopping trolley you used to bring it home, the one you left on the street

      • Don't leave it on the street, just hide it somewhere around the house. Trolley collectors will snatch it on the street.

  • Bulky item
    Bring a friend

    uhh….social distancing?

    • +1

      a friend, not friends.

  • Is the anti aging creams May 8th? My mum loves them.

  • +1

    perfect for budget home theater

  • +3

Looks like just a 'back massage' chair. Thanks for the heads up though. I've been considering a generic Livemor Delmue chair for around $1k. Anyone got/ tried one? Also, can you get replacement poly leather covers/ airbags for these things. Seen a couple of second hand $3k+ chairs with the poly leather worn completely off going cheap.

  • +1

    Landfill

    • So are most TVs eventually

  • would like to see actual reviews for it

  • This is not on sale in next 3 days, guess it is May 6

  • Is this any good? I notice that Aldi is selling this every year before Mother's day. I am looking at buying a massage chair. Just need some recommendations. Thank you!

    • +2

Buy a better chair for your mum, she spent more than $249 to raise you up XD

    • I see what you did there.. vibrating chair for mother's day… Hmmmm….

    • +1

I bought it last year, it's still going strong and I love it. Yes its fake leather - It only massages your back and vibrates on your bum, but even without the massage function its a pretty decent recliner…..Not sure I'd pay $250, I got it on special for $150 but still A++ imo…..

      • So there is shiatsu roller on the back?

  • +1

At one point ALDI sold an Eammes Chair but don't think they have for a couple of years now. Been keeping an eye out for probably almost a year. A family member bought one a few years ago that's still going well with regular use.

Anyone know if these are likely to come back anytime soon?

  • Screw the massaging bit. It’s levitating!

  • … BODY MASSAGE!

  • Please check
Aldi updated return policy due to Covod19.
Not sure which items are still covered under 60 day return policy

  • Don't buy this…..

The link from "who i am" show the description. Vibrate and heat only no shiatsu. Its basically a fake lather recliner which heats and vibrates.

The $30 shiatsu pillow looks to be a much better deal.

  • +1

Apparently the motors are so powerfull, in high mode it'll break every bone in your body.

    • no idea why i found this so amusing

  • Image says : Bulky item, bring a friend. Well… I can be in trouble doing that now.

  • Wrong date OP? It says Wednesday, 6th of May - not the 2nd of May.
