Zigbee should be able to use Philips Hue, or Smart Things to control it
I've got one of these with Gledopto branding, Hue app controls it the same as my Hue strip.
Does it work with the Hue Sync app?
Not as well as the Philips strip controller, there's more lag to it.
@FTTNope: thats good to know
Two questions:
1. Can it be used as 4 individual channels instead of RGBW (4x mono white)
2. Is there an RGBWW (warm white/cold white)?I've got a few of these that i bought locally from Nue smart home / 3a smart home for $38 delivered, anyone wants them quickly there is an option.
My quick pro and cons when compared to Philip hue light strip
Pro
- you able to wire up custom length of light strips(I use 5050 RGBW 5 pin ) , serial or parallel easily .- alot cheaper even you have to buy your own power supply and LED
-5050 type led is easier to mount than Philips hue strip , as it is smaller in width and self adhesive is better , many LED housing profile options out there .
Cons
-Colour change is not as smooth and fast as Philips hue strip
- not as bright if you use 5050 type led strip
Some hue features are not available , like power recovery state.
This website doesn’t list if it can operate as four separate channels, the GLEDOPTO ones can.. did you try it?
Many of the photos look exactly like the Philips Hue app :O
