[QLD] Forklift and Logistics Cert III SkillsPack with License $1 @ One Stop Training

1121

Cheap forklift license! Three locations to choose from.

That is not a misprint. If we were allowed to do it for free, we would. Let’s get through this together.

Due to how critical the supply chain is, we are offering the Forklift and Logistics Cert III SkillsPack for only $1.00.

Numbers are strictly limited to maintain COVID compliance.

The $1 SkillsPack Includes
TLI32416 – Certificate III in Logistics then choose from;
TLILIC0003 – Licence to Operate a Forklift Truck (18+) or;
TLILIC0004 – Licence to Operate an Order Picking Forklift (18+) or;
CPCCWHS1001 – Construction White Card (15+)

Supply Chain jobs are critical at the moment and will be even more so after the COVID crisis.

    only available to those who don't hold a cert III or higher.

    • You beat me by 24 seconds.

    You can’t be currently enrolled in a Certificate III level qualification or higher.

    You can’t have completed a Certificate III level qualification outside of school – those achieved while at school are fine.

    If you do hold a Certificate III level qualification or higher, you may be eligible for BOOST, or Second Chance funding.

    • Does currently studying at uni count?

      • "You can’t be currently enrolled in a Certificate III level qualification or higher."

          Might only be a BA, so that’d be OK 😈

      I heard Certificate qualifications technically expire after 7 years, is that right?

      • It depends, with this they look you up in a QLD education system. It only dates back to 2003 or so. If you have a qualification from before then, or your qualification is from anywhere other than QLD you can do this funding if you don't tell them you've completed it.

    If your an older person ie unemployed 61 pensioner an have diplomas n a degree but want to change careers can I apply for this..?

  • +3

    Wow, I would even sign up just to learn how to drive forklift, shame not in WA

    • It's for people that want to work in the industry, I'm sure there are limited places.

  • Aww queensland resident part got me.

  • Any similar deals in nsw

    • It’s called Smart and Skilled, but most training at the moment won’t be classroom based.

    this is a government paid scheme to get people cert 3. plenty of options. not sure how they would run the classes in the current environment.

    the if we were allowed to do if for free is absolute rubbish though. they bill the Qld government a few thousand for each person who completes the course

    • +1

      That’s referring to the co-contribution part of $1, as the scheme requires the trainee to contribute some portion i.e $1. There can’t be no out of pocket expense. It’s just poorly written.

        I understand the dollar cost. What I object to is the way the company is making out they are being ulturistic and doing this sole for the benefit of the community.

        if that's true they would be donating any profit from people doing the course to a fund to help people out.

        don't get me wrong everybody is entitled to make money. I also see the benefit for the person doing the course.

        what I have a distaste for is they are making out like they are offering something special to help people in light of the crisis which I think is far from truthful

  • Wait so hang on, if we have a degree, we're ineligible?

      For the $1 fee. Otherwise…

      If you do hold a Certificate III level qualification or higher, you may be eligible for BOOST, or Second Chance funding.

  • Anything similar available for NSW residents?

    Doing this uses up your one opportunity for using the QLD government's cert 3 guarantee funding. It also involves you doing the one week Cert 3 in Logistics which a couple weeks afterwards you receive a voucher for the fully funded forklift training. The 3 day forklift training and licence test is held at another venue that had a 3 month wait before Covid-19 and is currently closed for the foreseeable future. The only reason a forklift licence is included is because the gov gives the RTO a LOT of money for you doing the course and the RTO uses the forklift licence as a way to draw people in. IMO use this funding for a better course that offers more value and more tickets.

  • Wish this was in NSW as well

    I did this course a couple years back. It's pretty intense. There were a couple people that couldn't do it.

    From what I remember it was about 3days, morning till afternoon. There's like 100 question test, not all multiple choice either, and you have to get at least 99 of them right to pass.

    This was the first time I ever studied my entire life, not even in school. Things had to be written by the word so you had to memorise most of it. Brain overload. Then there's the practical driving test also.

    This was a bit different to the fork lift tests going 15-20yrs back. Back then it was done in half an hour. Anyway, I passed this one and never want to do it again. I think you have to renew your licence every 5yrs now.

  • I hope they do this in VIC as well.
