More like 30+ years, pretty much the same as my late 1980s calculator!

i remember some of the old casios had the 'digi invaders' game.

        • Yep, we used to tag team to add up to the "n" and keep the game going. They were the screen addiction equivalent of the 80s…

  • I never understood why Casio drop the solar panel for the Australian models. There are multiple territory models and this for Australia costs more and has the solar panel removed.

I would prefer FX991es/ex which are capable of doing integration to the FX100 series…

  • Does this calculate Net Present Value? Partner needs one for CPA exam

        Pretty sure he meant BOOBLESS

  • Much prefer a spreadsheet and math graphic software. Back in 2002 I completed an astronomy online Masters at UWS (now Western Sydney Uni) and ditched calculators completely. All our exams were online and open book and the use of software was permitted. (I checked that explicitly before each exam.). That is still the limiting factor: If Department of Education or your tertiary institution insist that only calculators from their permitted list can be used, you better get use to them.

Regardless of the tool know that there are circumstances under which they become inaccurate. Ambiguous/non-standard notation is the classic with Casio calculators. Excel has had bugs that caused inaccuracy.

  • crap. needed one of these to replace a lost one (via child). No stock locally. So I presume I can't get OW to price match?
