ATL I believe for this 'Stealth' Casioak that you can wear pretty much anytime, anywhere.

From G-SHOCK, the toughness watches that continue to evolve in search of ultimate strength, this digital-analog combination model inherits the concept of the first-generation DW-5000C models, while being even thinner.
Inherits the octagonal shape that was also used in the first-generation DW-5000C model. A combination model developed with a simple design that eliminates waste while maintaining a tough structure.
Also achieves a thickness of 11.8 mm thanks to a highly rigid fine resin containing carbon fiber for the case material.
Uses a characteristic G-SHOCK blackout color.

    Thanks OP! Great find

  • great price

  • Good looking G shock

  • Thanks, had in my cart already. It looks nice and slim. Got one.

  • Thanks, always wanted one of these!

  • Actually been eyeing this one for a while, but Amazon review for 1 star supposedly claim that they were sent fakes, thoughts?

    • +2

I think those reviews are from some South American countries. These things do happen in less developed regions but I think it should be fine in Australia as it is being sold by Amazon Au.

      • Cool thanks, going to get one.

Showing $154 now to me. Get stuffed Jeff

    • Still showing $118.47 for me at 8:45am AEDT.

      • +5

That's why I said get stuffed Jeff. He is doing his best to frigg over regional shoppers. Amazon is near useless for those outside capital cities now.

        • I knew they cut deliveries to regional but I didn't realise they were also adjusting prices for the few items they do still deliver regionally. Dirty dog Bezos

          • +1

@Aldonis: Actually, the $154.99 listing is for a random third-party seller (ozDigitalWatch).

I have updated the deal link to force Amazon to show you the Amazon AU listing, and when I tested it with a restricted regional postcode, it showed me the Amazon AU listing and the price in the deal post, plus there was no message telling me to choose a different delivery address.

        • +2

Can confirm $154.99 when I'm logged in (with a regional address). Shows as $118.47 when using incognito browser (assumes address is Sydney 2065). Very frustrating when you're only 10 mins from a major town…
E: Just tried to add in a parcel locker for said town, still the same price. So must be big cities/dense areas for cheaper prices only.

        • Makes sense. Expensive freight…

          • +1

@cheaptech20: Not really though as they use auspost or toll, so for items of this size it shouldn't make a huge difference

            • @sourdawg: Can you try directing it to one spot with the low price then redirecting it via Auspost lol

        • +1

Weird, I'm in Broome and it's 118.47 for me

          • @sourdawg: When you're logged in with your address set?

Edit: just tried again. Cheers. Jeff has had a change of heart. Thanks for the heads-up sourdawg.

            • +1

              @MS Paint: Yep

Edit:whoops I took too long to post that. Glad it worked out

              • +1

@sourdawg: Well Jeff can get stuffed again.

                Try checking out.

                I get this error

Ironically it will let me checkout all the way with this deal.

Amazon can go eat a d!çk

                • @MS Paint: Yep, back up to 154.99. The bargains are really evaporating if you live in the bush

Great watch for travelling too, its so easy to change timezones and keep your local time on the display

  • +1

My most worn of all the different colours I have of this watch. Great buy.

  • +4

I have this watch. Just a note that whilst it looks great, it can be difficult to see the time in certain conditions as it's black on black.

    • +13

      As the old saying goes…

Once you go black, there's no reading the time easily.

    • I don't know why people say this, cause I have never had an issue reading the time on this. I have on the red one though.

      • +1

I said it because it's my personal experience. Just something to consider if you are getting this exact colour scheme.

$2 more for the one with white markings: https://www.amazon.com.au/Casio-Baby-G-BG-169R-4-Transparent…

      • Thanks - Bought this one :)

      • Doesn't look as sleek

    • +1

I'm a fan of the casioak watches but I returned mine when I purchased this last year for this specific reason.

I ended up getting (and keeping) the GA-B2100-1A which was much more readable when comparing these side by side.

Great find! I was flipping these for $300 at launch during covid, oh how times have changed haha

  • I have an omega but still default to this from time to time. Love this watch!

  • Can confirm it's $30 more for me as well. Shipping to Wangaratta. Changing city to Melbourne drops it to the sale price.

  • +4

Putting aside the price, I've got 2 of these and I highly don't recommend them. The watch itself is amazing, built strong and everything. The issue is the coloruing. The light isn't strong enough to read the watch at night and unless your in direct sunlight, its hard to read this watch at a glance.

Get this watch but with silver/white dials and markers on its face or in a different colour scheme altogether.

    • What you are saying is fair but I think this particular variant serves form over function - the stealth blackout appearance looks supercool during the day imo.

      • That's like saying wheels on a car are for aesthetics only :)

  • Too big for me. And the colors of the smaller version are just dumb.

    • +1

I thought these would be too big for my girly wrists too, but they actually wear smaller than the measured sizing suggests.

    • This SKEI homage is all-metal and more wearable 41.5mm width.

All the Casio functions plus a power-save mode to disable the LCD. I have one and highly rate it.
