Not as good as Boost $150 1 yr prepaid, as no international calls, and more expensive.

    • It's not more expensive right? They are both $150

      • WARNING: Boost is fine until you have a problem. Then you'll find the customer service can't always help and may send you to a Telstra shop who don't serve Boost customers.

        Hopeless.

If you don't need international calls buy the Optus version of this. Their customer service is great online/phone and in-shop.

This has more data, too. Boost's bonus data is for a limited time and only if you can find a 80GB sim in store and have to buy a sim + prepaid voucher you have to call them and ask nicely, so they give uou just 20GB.

Bought this 2 months ago. Been this price for a while.

This is a site for Bargains, not just what you personally think defines a Bargain.

  • The $150 package sounds like a perfect fit for me and with more data and hopefully it includes the sports. The international-ish package on Boost is pretty useless to me. Good fine OP.

In the critical information summary it reads:

    Service expiry
To keep your service active you need to recharge 186 days from your credit expiry, otherwise you may require a new SIM card to use the service and you may not be able to continue using your mobile number.

Is this saying I have to recharge halfway through the year?

    • No, it means that once your credit expires in a years time you will have another 186 days to recharge otherwise your sim card and number will be terminated.

  • $180 SIM Starter Kit with 120GB Online: New customers only. Offer valid when SIM is purchased online by 29/03/20 and activated by 05/04/20.

Even though I was an Optus customer, this is for new pre paid customers, so it worked for me

Optus need to up their game. May be they are busy milking the wholesale customers and big clients. No time to look into small retail customers.

  • I was offered a 25% discount on this service when i was signing up to their 500GB mobile broadband plan. They offered it on the $49 and the $59 100GB month to month plans. Might be worth a shot asking for the discount in the chat box anyway
