  • Was $1183.20 Yesterday but still a awesome price for this spec X390.

    • +1

Yeah, the store was also artificially keeping the stock count low. They upped the stock count at 09:41:56 AEDST today.

      • Basically the usual on eBay sales 😂

  • The T490 is also available at $1,189.89 with lower RAM and Storage but is upgradeable to support up to 48GB of RAM

"640K is more memory than anyone will ever need on a computer" GATES, Bill (I know that he denies saying that, but the lie is more cool)

      • Similar to what Apple claimed regarding DPI and what naked eyes are capable of seeing.

  • Man that's an ugly computer.

    • But it's the perfect Valentines day gift!

      • If your partner is blind, sure! Haha.

  • Is it touchscreen?

  • I'm quite unfamiliar with Thinkpads. But comparing to this E14 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/518716?utm_source=searchal…

Less RAM, newer cpu, with GPU but no warranty. I saw that E series is less premium than X. But which is the better buy?

    • +1

Depends on what you want your laptop to be used for. Light gaming / casual content creation / general purpose use at home - buy the E14

Lightweight device for school and uni, or for working on the go - buy the X series.

I already have an E570p which is good for home use but it really isn't portable, and the battery life really lasts 6 hours at most, so thinking my next work notebook will be something portable in the 12 or 13 inch range with decent battery. I've found that the E series don't quite deliver an all-day battery life.

    • +1

E series are cheaper, plastic and basic product line of thinkpad, X, T are premium laptops with better build quality, longer batter life and have thunderbolt 3.

      • Thanks scrim and ice.

Looking at the link, it says 3Y - not sure what type of warranty is this.

          • @scrimshaw: Oh sorry yes, I was supposed to mean if it's depot, onsite or premier.

I've confirmed it's on onsite. The CPU is i5-8265U too, I thought it was the i5-8565U (i7).

I'll might just get this over the e14 even on better specs. Just needed to change from the e595 as I find it too big. Need something more portable.

  • Good deal on a nice laptop, but the cpu in this is the i5 8265u, which is a fast QC cpu.

The Intel 8565u is a i7 option when ordering from Lenovo.

  • Just checking if you can claim TRS from Futu online?

    • +1

Pretty sure you can. I purchased from Futu Online eBay before and got a tax invoice.

  • Does this laptop have a better screen than the T470s? I am using a T470s (FHD) and the screen is barely usable outdoor.
    Thanks
