        • Luc, is this your first NBN connection? or had NBN with another RSP before this ABB signup?

          • @Zin: Hi Zin, yes it is my first. I'm currently on a adsl2+ set up.
I actually told the guy your message on W/pool and he kinda shrugged(on the ph) and said it's news to him. I also just signed up on the ph rather than online. He said that way there's no problems with codes not working. Which makes sense.

            • @Luc: Thanks Luc, I still can't get it. I rang them again, he said it seems to be for the first NBN connection homes. The previous tenant was connected to NBN, so we can't get it. The interesting part is I typed our neighbor's address on online signup and they are eligible, but not us.

              • @Zin: I typed our neighbour's address on online signup and they are eligible, but not us.

I wonder if they have the NBN or not? That might be why they're eligible if they haven't got it.

Maybe you could just keep hassling them on the ph till they relent.

    • Looks like ABB are annoyed with this post/offer and adding additional t&c's to which suburb they have posted the offer too.
It was sent to a suburb in WA (NOR)
Some will get lucky some may have extra questions so be confident, Maybe say it was delivered to a family member.

    • Hi. I've Just used this for a Glen Forrest WA address, no issue.

  • Thanks Op, got one with my new sign up.

  • You're better of getting the free month of the top plan and get your own modem, the modem is honestly trash and has a real low range, if you have a multi level apartment like me it'll only do one level.

  • I finally sign up for with Aussie Broadband for 100/20MB plan and manage to get the modem for free. Home only getting 55/18MB. Ask Aussie Broadband regarding the slow speed and they provided a quote of $165 outcall plus $85 per hour of service for no fault. I told them that the modem and cables are provided by ABB, and the NBN device is provided by NBN therefore why are I paying for something that is provided by you guys. Only answer they provide is that i need to agree to this fee if i want them to carry out this investigation on my slow speed. Not sure why everyone is rating these guys highly but for me seems like a company trying to get as much $$$$ from its customer while minimising their service.

    • +1

The no fault found fee comes from nbn. All ISPs have to tell you about this potential fee. If the fault is from nbn equipment you won't have to pay a cent. If there is something wrong with your home wiring you will have to pay.

  • Typically how long from connection to receive free modem? I got my connection today but still haven't receive the modem (which will go on Fleebay since I have HFC and ASUS router).

  • Thanks OP, code worked for me in an Adelaide suburb.
