True, but there is only 1 Cronulla!

I had no clue, and I'm sure most don't.

It's a lovely beach, to the south of Sydney.
Kite Festival Location on Google Maps

I'm not from NSW either, but Cronulla is well known for different reasons.

You might even know of one of its residents… Our PM is from there & number 1 ticket holder of the Cronulla Sharks - as he kept telling us.

It's been a popular film location at least since the 1940 Australian classic 40,000 Horsemen! There was a reality TV series The Shire set around there. Also location for surf culture TV series, Puberty Blues. And the infamous Cronulla riots… But it's a great place (to fly a kite)!

As always best to list State in these Deals. Real confusion in Deals arises when people list location like Brighton etc. There's a Brighton in all States.

Wish I could be there flying a kite!

I heard it was full of sharks.

            • @jv: Must be true - Scomo told me so!

Organise your own kite flying - small can be fun😀
Search for Kite Flying Festivals - they're held in many places.
Or pop up to this beach.
I've travelled further - to Japan for giant kite flying (twice). Great fun👍

  • Thanks OP

Cronulla is full of white bogan. This is where the Cronulla riots took place

OP, what times will it be operating? Also, why the need for registration via eventbrite? Will we need to show tickets to get into the reserve?

    • +1

10am to 5PM. it is a free event but limited space available at the reserve therefore you need to register for first come first bases.
we will close the registration once numbers reached above the ground capacity.
      Thanks
