Was looking for some instax mini film, and if I'm reading this right you get 100 sheets for <$28!!!
For comparison, 60 sheets at JB is $59.95.

Anyone got the Amazon phone number handy? They don't make it easy to find on their website…

I just got rejected after a long online chat, I was offered the same $10 gift card and refund once item has been received.
I'll keep pushing though thanks to you guys!
I just got reject too via online chat. CS said it was "out of his limitations" to issue a refund.
"I'm sorry this is all I can do" - yeah righto mate…
The CS said his supervisor said no too…
Going to try calling, hopefully it's not the same team.
I got rejected too via online chat. Went to get it escalated and gave them the whole "others got refund and keeping it" spiel.
did u get the refund?
I called up and got rejected, kept saying needed to return the item. Went via online chat, wrote out the whole story of receiving the wrong order and that I should not be expected to go to the effort to physically go to the post office to return the item. Also mentioned that since everyone else was able to receive a full refund without returning the item I should also get the same treatment. 3 mins later refund issued, no questions asked.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Seems it just comes down to who you get. Have been overseas recently so good to hear I haven’t missed the boat with the refund as it seemed easier earlier.
Going to take a page out of your book and attempt online chat and failing that try my luck with a telephone call.
@sandshrew: Reporting back for anyone still looking to get a refund. Success on online chat. Just explained the situation, outlined my expectation and remained friendly and appreciative of the representative’s efforts.
Good luck :)
No unless I go through the whole process of printing label and going to post office. I actually gave them the excuse of not having a printer to print the damn label and having to physically go to the post office to post the stupid thing. Even said how unfair it was that others go the refund and others don't. Still wouldn't budge.
Might try online chat again and hope I get a better outcome
Try calling instead.
@Ughhh: They are not budging, was on the phone for ages. You guys were lucky, they have a directive not to refund now and they were very firm.
I tried for 20 mins, refused to refund and keep. Explained I'd just had a baby and couldn't get to the post office and that I could get the item cheaper again from their website. Went off the line 3 times, still refusing a refund unless the item was returned. Offered a longer return window. Stayed really quite polite and still no luck. :( Might try online chat after. $5 gift card only. Not impressed.
I had the same issue over the phone first time, just try the online chat. If not success retry with a different operator, seems some are much more lenient.
Darn that’s really unfortunate. It’s ridiculous they don’t have a consistent approach to dealing with this issue.
Maybe try after close of business for Australia as you might go through to a different service centre?
Online chat refusing to come to the party with me. Just called up and got the same person as the chat? (or at least - same name).
So called up, after they refused a refund via online chat. Asked to speak to the supervisor after the first call consultant said no, and was still a no off the supervisor. They reckon they won't be refunding anyone after they received a directive from their boss. Was a wasted 30 minute call. Very disappointing.
@AjsGuns: Just try calling or online chat at another time. I believe it is 24 hours so you might be in luck and go through to a team without this directive.
Worth a final try?
@sandshrew: I tried online chat once and ended up calling twice - (morning and night, different staff). Was no off all of them and they all have the same directive apparently. Honestly don't think it's worth my time to waste another 30mins - 1 hour over a single $27.39 order. All the best to those who keep persisting.
@AjsGuns: Yeah that’s fair enough. At least until someone reports back with a positive outcome again.
Does sound like head office has finally gotten wind of this and put a stop to the refunds :(
Tried calling up and was initially denied, then tried online chat and was also denied - both giving an option for a full refund on product return. I called up again about 10 minutes later and was processed a full refund after informing them that others had been able to keep the product while receiving a full refund and a quick check with her supervisor. Best to keep adamant others are being able to keep their products, I had the first guy on my call you guys dishonest saying it was impossible to receive a refund without a returned product lmao. Good luck to the last bit of you!
