    That’s really good price

  • Anyone successfully price matched at jbhifi and then used 15% off code? I can't seem to use the coupon code.

    • +1

Which 15pc off coupon that U are referring to if you don't mind me asking?

      • The 15% off TV deal for JB perks members

        • Thank you

        • nothing wrong about signing up to be a member, then they give you the code through email and just show it to them. I bought this yesterday and forgot to pricematch appliance online at JB, but still got it for 1070 a 100 difference if it was pricematch and use perks will get it down to 900-950…

    • +4

You can’t use a promotion code after price match. I have talked to jb on this before

  • Has anyone tried price matching at jb?

    • in store the sale price was around 1200, then you add the 15% sale perks for being a member, then it gets down to 1050-1070, but if you price match it with AOL and apply the 15% code, you can get it for around 950…..like i mention above i was in there buying dryer, fridge and this tv…i forgot to pricematch its competitor with the tv,…i did manage to get a cheap deal on a black lg side by side 655lt fridge for 300bucks cheaper for price matching aol

      • wait, if jb price match to AOL, wouldn't the price is 947 already?

        • Yeah makes no sense. Plus JB are not price matching as AO are saying new stock arriving soon and they don't price match if on backorder. Then again it might depend who you speak to.

          • @basilv: hmmm, i am in VIC and seems AO website still shows in stock

  • Super dumb question. How do you mount this to a wall? Di you need to buy some mounts? Any help is appreciated. I know nothing about this stuff but want to grab this tv and mount to my wall easily. Google searches shows info for brig brands like Samsung . TIA :)

    • Just need to buy a tv wall mount that will support the vesa size of this tv which I believe is 300 X 300 from a google search but I could be wrong.

Many wall mounts support lots of vesa sizes these days anyway.

      • Awesome! Thanks for that 👍

        • Hi, the VESA mount for this TV is 400 x 400 mm. Also TV mounts say what weights they are for. This TV is 23.4 kg without the stand. So a 400 x 400 mm mount supporting at least 23.4 kg is what you are looking for. Then you have to decide if you want the side to side angle to be adjustable.

It is easy to damage the screen by flexing the screen when mounting it (I have done this). So be extremely careful not to or get it installed for you.

    Free delivery!
    which worth $80

This is definitely better deal than JBhifi

  • Their price match won't work/stack with the 15% off. I tried online already. Has anyone actually had success to do it?

    • Price match will work with 15%off in the store

      • hey buddy, have you tried for both price match and 15% off
checking as i would be temped to get one sooner

  • Are Appliances Online good to buy through? I'm tempted to buy this right now!?

    • +4

Had no issues buying a fridge & dishwasher through them in the last 6 months. Would use them again.

Oh yeah they honored this too: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/838639

I've bought many appliances from them over the years and they have been great.

We have this tv. Got it for $999 in feb and that was a bargain.

    For the price its superb.

    • +2

How’s the viewing angle and colours on this tv? We need a new tv for our living room but we get a lot of sunlight during the day. Any feedback on the reflections etc ?

  • Don't forget the 30$ cashback at commbank app if you have activated, may be targeted.

  • JB HN and Betta Electrical all say no to price match..

    • What was the reason

      • It's on backorder at AO

  • +2

The 65 seems a good price too at $805.

  • 2.7k in NZ. Oh well.

  • I thought the P745 was best bang for buck..

    But it's disappeared!

I ordered one last week for $1087 but it won't get delivered for another 4 weeks.

Any chance they'll give me a rebate on the difference?

    • Cancel Order … If it's not delivered.

Or what ever Card you used they might have price match for 30 days .

3rd option is U Talk to Store and ask for rebate.

      • Thanks for the advice

  • Asked Jb hifi to price match but they said it's not in stock, only "available to order" at the moment so that doesn't count and they don't match :(

  • Damn I ordered one yesterday from JB, this is a great deal!

  • Anyone have one to share what it's like? I'm so tempted.

    • Same question? What's Reviews.

      • Plenty of reviews of the older version c645 (even on rtings but it goes by a different name Q651G), seems pretty good… Misses out on local dimming but it isn't really needed , and saves $600 odd for a c745 or c755 , and this is a great price.

Does anyone know what the OS is like on this? Is it responsive?

    • +1

      Google TV, very responsive

Any recommendations for a wall mounting bracket for this?

    • I'd like to know this also

    • Professional TV Installer here, Search for Selby and find a bracket that suits for 75inch. Should be around $50-$60. There are few options there depending on what type you after.

      • Awesome! Thanks Maximus, I'll have a look online 👍

I just ordered one. Thank you!

      Same

  • Got the 65" for $795 from JB price match

  • Has anyone had long term experiences with TCL screens? Sony for me has been rock solid, going over 15 years plus with no issues. Samsung I've had to replace the powerboard after 7 years.

    • dont know about double digit years but bought TCL 42" for bedroom about 4 years ago and its been rock solid - android implementation on almost every tv except sony and possibly samsung sucks anyways so connected to firestick that i got last xmas for $25. cant fault it.

      • Yeah the native app on the TVs are usually less reliable so I just use chromecast too.

      • +1

Years ago I found a list on a Brazilian forum of apps you could remove from TCL TV's via ADB to remove bloat, replaced the launcher with a simple customisable one with only the apps I need and it's been rock solid, no lag. But obviously that's beyond the scope or patience of most people, Chromecast plugged into the back also does the trick

    • Been using mine since 2019 and no issues with the screen, actually wouldn't bother upgrading but only for the size of it in the current place. However it was a full replacement under warranty from the TV prior which developed dead pixel lines in the first month. So in the middle I guess?

This is a bare basic TV with very poor brightness and no local dimming. The only thing it has going for it is the software. The C755 is much better, it is a mini-led with local dimming and 1300 nits peak brightness. The C655 would be ok for in a spare room or something. The C855 is even better again with more local dimming zones and a better processor. The C755 is the best value out of the TCLs in my opinion.

      • But the c755 is like another $900 odd , I agree it's the better TV but at a $1000 odd the C655 is great

  • Love the free streaming channels on TCL. There's one that just plays 80s music and it's the best to leave on in the background while doing chores

    • +1

That's the most power hungry way to listen to music

  • +1

Locked one in, best price I've come across.
    Thankyou OP @gccmelb.

  • Big dif between mini led and this one?

Thanks got it for $917 using the random referral

I asked the same question on the 65" version deal:

Can this TV output 4k 120hz? Spec sheet is confusing. States 60hz but can do 120HZ on 'game mode' and features a HDMI 2.1 port which is usually used for 4K 120hz.

Given the price point for this TV I assume it does 1080P 120HZ and 4K 60HZ?

"*When switching to 120Hz Game Accelerator mode, an increase in frame rate may result in a decrease in resolution. "

2022 TCL was super lagging but Sound was excellent.

    TCL claims
    https://www.tcl.com/us/en/blog/article/tcl-aipq-processors
"For 2024, Enter our all-new family of AiPQ Processors" & "This year, we are proud to offer our AiPQ Processor not just in our flagship TV, and not through only one or two steps down"

Is the processor in 2024 C655 any good
Is it very responsive in Google TV

  • needa 120hz tv 4k

    • Try the c745 or c755

  • Only 3 hdmi ports? Is that normal these days? I got a bunch of devices I normally leave plugged in eg fetch ps5 chromecast etc

    • Older model that isn't qled. I was also looking at that one.
