    • Just got same email too. Funny thing is that the listing is still "5 Twin Packs, 100 Total Pictures".

    • I just received the same email

    • Ditto, same here. I got an email saying it's been delivered though, so I suspect it's in the mailbox - but it's scorching out there so I haven't ventured to check.

    • I haven't received mine yet either (tracking still shows it is somewhere in the US). Sounds like a return is the only option for those that have received the e-mail? The order as it stands is over-priced even with the gift card.

      • Yep, I'm in the same position, I just asked for them to cancel the delivery and refund the money.
Funds are already refunded and they said they will contact the delivery company and request them to return the item. Saves me printing out a return postage label and going to the post office, then waiting another 10-20 days to get a refund.

    • +1

Ive got $10 credit for 2 orders, havent received the film yet. Does that mean we most likely wont get the 'full refund and keep' option?

edit : never mind, for some reason this was the last comment when I clicked on the page and just read comments below

Dammit thats pretty disappointing. I bought an Instax Printer because of this deal.

      • Same here. Which printer did you buy? Sounds like it's hit and miss whether they will allow you to keep the film. I went ahead and purchased a 60 pack for $41 just in case.

        • I bought the mini link, apparently the app is better than the sp2's and Bluetooth connectivity instead of Wifi.

Yeah, I'm gonna call when it arrives and kick up a fuss. I bought this to use for my baby and I don't have time to drag her around with me to fuss for a return, don't have a printer as well 🙄

Oooh, did you get the pack from Target? None available around my area :( I do still have 100ish from the big W ebay sale few months ago

          • @MeesusEff: Same printer I got too. Got OW to price match digidirect. Ended up about $120. No, got from GG Commercial. Target was $44.25, but I paid $41.

            • @unity1: Aw yeah I bought from Digidirect Amazon and paid for delivery so I don't have to go pick up. Haven't received it yet, is it good to use?

              • @MeesusEff: Yes, it's great. Bluetooth connectivity makes it a breeze to use. You'll like it I'm sure.

    • I was offered $10 for the inconvenience.

Doesn't matter though. When it arrives I'll be demanding full refund like everyone above.

    • I got a $10 Amazon gift card. boo, thought it was too good to be true.

  • -1

Just got the same email as above for the two orders I did when the deal was posted.
I'd already received a refund for them, keeping the twin packs.

Received 2x $5 gift cards in my account. Cheering

  • +1

They said, they can't refund me and let me keep the items.
And I have to print out the label (which cost 80 cents), walk 700 meters to the drop off location.

    • That's ridiculous when it's their error and they let others..

    • Well, after calling them instead online chat.
I got full refund and no return needed.

    • Same. Getting this escalated with no success as they won't budge with wait for it to be returned then refunded.

    • I too got a rep that insisted that they must have the items returned in order to issue a refund. Wouldn't budge.

Congrats to those of you who got a refund and got to keep the item.

    • I got the same rejection on chat as they refused to let me keep the item, but I emailed them and they decided to give me a refund and let me keep it. Maybe try that route out :)

  • Hmmm I haven’t got an email for my third order… though it hasn’t shipped yet either

  • Same email as above. Credit has been applied but the live chat was unhelpful. Looks like those who jumped in when they got the order first got to keep the product.

    Good luck all.

    • Contacted Live Chat just before also, No luck for me.

  • Received one 20 sheet pack today like others (ordered on 24-Dec). Contacted Amazon via phone and the rep apologised and left the call for 2min to confirm a resolution. Came back and told me amazon is 'gifting' me the item and processing a full refund. Will have to do the same with my wife's two orders placed the same day, assuming they turn up today too.

Would have loved 300 at this price, but 60 for free is way better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.

  • I just called up Amazon and they refunded me in full and I can keep the product.

    • Same here, I just called up Amazon support regarding my 2 orders and they refunded me in full and I can keep both packs. I also had already received the 2x $5 gift cards in my account.

  • Don't bother with the live chat. Call Amazon Support or request they call you. I just got to keep the product with a refund just now (even after the email).

  • I just received the email about my third order which I placed after the single twin packs started arriving.

This time it’s a $10 credit. Will call support and ask to keep the item when it arrives.

  • I got offer to return for full refund and a $10 credit. Didn’t get to keep 20 films.

  • best to call them. Got to keep credit and films and got full refund.

Update: Their call centre employees have been instructed to just refund anyone who calls in relation to this email asking to return the items. Literally no questions asked. Im on hold and he is issuing the refund right now

    • Yep just called up, and the guy knew immediately about the "fujifilm error" on amazon au website and said for the inconvenience he will refund me and I can keep the item for free. I didn't even have to explain anything, call took like 2 mins

      • I just rang them and was on the phone for 15 mins, the staff had no idea what I was talking about and initially insisted that a refund can only be given after the courier sent the item back to the sender and sender confirms receipt. After some arguing, she said she needed to check with her supervisor and eventually agreed to a refund after sending a notification to the courier to cancel the delivery. Disappointed I didn't get to keep the item, but at least got a full refund and a $5 credit.

        • Sounds like you called too early. Maybe you should have waited until it was delivered.

          • @unity1: Mine was delivered, called up and they told me to return it. Oh well, maybe because I cancelled my subscription last week.

            • @everyone: I was able to keep one but had to return the other.

  • I got an automatic $10 credit on the single order, so perhaps they're offering more in the initial email in hopes less can be bothered calling for a refund

  • I got the $10 credit today automatically. I also called and asked for a refund to my credit card, which they approved after being put on hold a couple mins

  • Man my letter only offered $5 credit. Thanks for all the info on ringing up because quite frankly I bought these because I'll have a newborn within a week and won't be leaving the house to buy in time. Well that;s my reason to them anyway.

  • Had a similar experience to others here. Got the $10 credit on order and $5 on another; a call to their customer service and was given a refund for both.

    • Have you already received your film? Mines shipped but not sure if I should call now or when it arrives

      • I received one and haven't yet received the other. They refunded both now.

  • Can confirm the same as a lot of the above.

CALL THEM. Do not email or online chat. I tried emailing and got a pissy return and refund offer…but the expected refund offered was $3? I was fuming.

Less than 1 min on the phone they offered full refund and I can keep the item.

  • Merged from Amazon: Completely Incorrect Description

I recently placed 2 orders for some Fuji instax film on Amazon. When I ordered them, the description was: "Fujifilm Instax Mini Instant Film (5 Twin Packs, 100 Total Pictures) + 120 Sticker Frames + 10 Plastic Desk Frames + 20 Paper Frames + Micro-Fiber Cleaning Cloth. Condition: New. Sold by Amazon US"

After the orders had shipped, I got another email saying: "We’re contacting you in regards to your recent order #503-7148758-2311810 of Fujifilm Instax Mini Instant Film (5 Twin Packs, 100 Total Pictures) + 120 Sticker Frames + 10 Plastic Desk Frames + 20 Paper Frames + Micro-Fiber Cleaning Cloth. We recently discovered an error that caused the following item(s) to be displayed at an incorrect quantity." They offered a refund, and either a $5 or $10 credit.

Thing is, it's not just an "incorrect quantity"; what I actually got shipped was completely different (1 pack of film + some stickers - none of the other items).

I can't help but feel this is pretty duplicitous on Amazon's part. Listing it as, say, 2 packs when it was supposed to be 1 I could understand, but this is a completely different package. It's not even close to what was offered, bought, and paid for. They didn't even give me a chance to cancel the order so I didn't have the hassle of shipping it back to them for a refund - the "oops" email came after it had been shipped.

Do I have any recourse here? Ideally, I want the original package that was bought and paid for.

    • +1

Errors happen. You can return incorrect item and entitled to a full refund. If they choose to add a cherry on top then it’s their call. But that’s it.

      • -1

Fair enough. I fell like this is a scam, tbh. It's so completely different from what the listing was when I bought it.

    • +3

      What are you on about?
      A mistake was made.
The mistake was acknowledged as soon as practical.
You've been given an apology and offered a refund plus a credit.
Youre making a drama out of nothing.
      Get out of here.

      • -2

Nah mate. A mistake is "2 packs, oops, I meant 1". This feels like a scam. It's completely different.

Hey, want to buy my PS4 with 4 games and a second controller? Oh, actually, it's just a controller.

    • +3

Mistakes happen. Amazon sells a whole lot of stuff and from my experience generally do really well. Just take the refund and move on. This wasn’t really worth an ozbargain post.

    • This is already being covered In the original deal post.

    • Talk to them on chat. I’ve had really good experiences with Amazon

    • +1

Update: I posted this on the forums before I knew this had been posted as a deal. I'm reading the rest of this thread now.

  • Haven't received my order but just rang them - told them it was about Fujifilm and they put me on hold after saying "we'll see what we can do" - I didn't explain anything. Came back and said they would refund.

  • I talked to Harika. She kept telling me how her manager informed her the same thing that i need to return the item for refund. Very frustrating as they would not refund me unless i return the item. I didnt get my refund unless i return the item.
This is what she said :

"Harika:I will for your feedback to our team and make sure they would take an appropriate action and make sure that this doesn't happen again for your future orders. All inquiries are reviewed and taken seriously, and we're working hard to ensure a positive shopping experience."

    • Did you call, email or live chat? Seems like people have more luck with phone calls

      • Yeah, phone calls seems the way to go. I did a live chat as it was late yesterday. Just called them again before to try my luck, and managed to get a full refund without returning the item.

  • got reject via onlinechat but got refunded through phone.

  • Got the same email, not got any product yet so haven't done anything.
How many packs are people receiving in the orders when they have received something?

  • Refunded through phone - not initially but I just said others had received a full refund and kept the product and I expected the same.

  • I received the item and $5 credit on my account last Friday. Tried the chat support on the day after - no luck. The rep issued me with a return label instead. Tried emailing them after - got no reply. I finally called them today and managed to get a full refund and keep the item. Moral of the story - just call.

  • I emailed and simply said I only got 20 out of 100 film and not much else - they said they would organise a replacement but since it was sold on Amazon US, they can't. Apparently Amazon AU and US work independently. They refunded me in full and don't want the incorrect order back.

  • Finally got around to contacting amazon properly. Email 3 days ago offered $5 credit, said no and got no reply yet.
Spoke on chat who offered $5 credit with returning item. Pushed and got nothing.
Saw the suggestions to call and did - almost instant refund with keeping item. No discussion needed.

    Thanks OzBargainers 🙏

  • Glad I checked ozbargain before wasting my time on live chat. Calling was quick and easy. Both orders refunded and I get to keep the film

  • What's Amazon's AU phone number?

    • +1

I've always just used the app to get through to it.

Under customer service -> contact us -> call customer service etc.

  • Amazon refunded straight away, let me keep film and credited $10 for the inconvenience!

  • Live chat was useless, calling got my order refunded and they're letting me keep it

  • Refund rejected through the phone, was told manager no longer allow refund without return.

    • Try again, mention that you've heard multiple people getting refunded without having to return the item. Try and be a bit pushy on the phone and say its not fair etc. etc. see how you go.

      • Thanks for the suggestion!
I tried again and was offered $20 refund, quite good already didn't bother push further :)

  • Bought 2. Just called and got full refund without returning both.

  • Here is a web archive i got of the old post if any one wants to see what it was

    https://web.archive.org/web/20191224045323/https://www.amazo…

  • I got a refund and got to keep the item. I am in Tasmania and there are no parcel return points.

  • Just called as well and after Gaby checked with her manager, I got a full refund and got to keep item. Didn’t even have to push for refund, just told them I didn’t get the item I ordered.

  • I had a chat to Amazon customer service, they explained they are aware of the fault and as a result have issued the $5 credit on my account and that I will need to return the item to get the refund.
I mentioned a couple of times how much of an inconvenience it is and that I've heard from others that they were issued full refunds without having to return the item. She 'spoke with the manager' and then issued the refund without me having to return the item.
Took a little while but got there in the end. Just a note to others, keep pushing for the full refund, they should give it out, as it was their stuff up at the end of the day.

  • Just spoke to Amazon (call through the app), and as other posters have mentioned: BE PERSISTENT!

They initially kept pushing how I had to return the item to obtain the refund but I just said how much of an inconvenience and burden it would be for me to do so when ultimately it was their errror which caused it.

Agent then put me on hold for about 3-4 mins before coming back and saying that they will refund as a “one time exception”.

Whole process took about 10 mins.

    • Thanks. Did that and had to be persistent. In between was also offered $20 credit back and keep item, but I persisted again and was ultimately given the full refund as exception. This is for 2 sets in the same call.

      • Nice work! Glad to see my experience helped someone else

  • Mine arrived today. Contacted Amazon via online chat and was offered the refund right away and advised to keep the item. Would have preferred the full order, but can't complain with a couple of free films and $5 credit.

  • My order arrived today (I saw the delivery guy hurl the box from my front gate on to my porch, but that's another issue) and contacted Amazon via online chat. As soon as I told them about the Fujifilm issue, it seemed like the rep just copy and pasted lines of text and issued a full refund without returning the order within about 30 seconds. Might be best to try online chat now instead of phoning in.

    • Tried chat and nope, return the item. Calling now :)

EDIT - I'd just call. The chat agent (Tejaswini) had no interest in any solution apart from returning it for a refund. Called and spoke to Chel - all I said was I didn't receive the correct quantity, she referred to available solutions and simply said she would refund the order and I could keep the item. I didn't need to say anything else.

  • Called them via the number (1800 571 894) and told them they got the wrong order. They refunded and gave me $5 credit and told me to keep the 20 films

  • Damn I haven't got mine yet, due to arrive next week. Hope they ll still give the full refund by then otherwise they'll probly just tell me to refuse delivery.

  • Mine arrived today, same as everyone else.

Called up, right away told I could keep the item and got a full refund. Also already had a $10 voucher too. Not happy for my daughter that she misses out on the films as was advertised, but not a bad outcome.

  • Received mine today as well. Did mine through chat and boy was it battle. Got to keep it with $10 gift card. Pity, got a few birthdays coming up and this would've been perfect if it was honoured. Good luck.

  • Has anyone else got your parcel that started of with DPD? In the Amazon app it says mine has cleared customs on the 6th but nothing after, but when I chuck that tracking number in any website it says it doesn't exist..

    • It should be coming via Australia Post. Australia Post should send you an email with tracking number once it's in their hands.

  • With the third order that got delivered this morning,
I had phone support tell me they've received a memo stating only refund on return item is possible.
I insisted and then after being put on hold, I was offered a 50% refund. Tried again and they came back with a full refund, keep the item.

  • Wtf 1 month delivery time for me…expected date 23 Jan.
People who ordered later already got their 3rd order.

  • I lucked out with getting them to refund and keep the films on both chat and phone even after they checked with supervisor. They wanted them returned. I did end up with the initial $5 gift card + another $10 promotional voucher, so I'll keep the films for my daughter and forget about it.

  • Was just on the phone and got a full refund without having to return the item. No questions asked. I just told them that I was really upset because I only received 20 films instead of 100 and needed it for an event this coming weekend. Thanks for the tips guys, I would have returned the item if it wasn't for OZbargain.

  • Got a full refund after calling them. The rep initially asked me to return the item, but thanks to you guys she managed to get approval to send a full refund without returning the item!

    • What did you say when rep asked to return?

      • "I was told that people were getting a refund without needing to return the item" or something to that effect. She put me on hold for about 2 minutes to get approval.

  • Got a refund over the phone but it was a battle. Call got disconnected 2 times, happened to get the 1st person on the 3rd call. Offered me a $10 credit but had to return and I said no, I am not accepting that as its still more expensive than at the shops and expecting 200 and receiving 40 is quite a big f-up, especially since I paid more on Amazon for an Instax printer because of this deal. Gonna stick to Ebay for films from now

  • +1

Online chat- need to send back for refund. Said others were getting refunds and kept the product- agreed.

    • Did the same. Online chat and told them others were getting a refund and getting to keep the item. Happy with the outcome.

  • Online chat earlier this week - Need to send back to receive full refund. Mentioned that others were getting full refunds and kept the product, and asked what the policy was - still told that I need to return the item. Called up to discuss and was originally told that I needed to return the item and mentioned that others were able to keep theirs. After bringing this up, I was able to keep the item with full refund.

"I'm sorry to hear you received a missing package. In this case, there's no need to return the item for us to issue a refund. You're welcome to keep, donate or dispose of it—whatever works for you.

I've requested a refund for $27.39, which includes the cost of the item and any shipping costs. You'll see the refund within the next 2-10 business days. Once processed, you'll also be able to see the refund here:"
