      Sameeeee!!

      • still an amazing tv! sadly hardly get time to use it anymore.

        • Yeah, incredible! And same, got a 2yo and a 11mo old that take up far too much of my time to even consider using it to its full extent.

It plays the odd AFL game at the moment, which frankly, is an insult to its true capabilities. :P

What a deal. Even better with 10% off gift cards

For those in WA who prefer the gallery series, Retravision has the 77" G3 for $3995 less 5% = $3795.25 for RAC members ($55 for delivery).

    • Is there any difference between C & G series besides aesthetics?

      • Yup. G series has MLA panel tech to increase brightness. G4 has v2 of that and new processor too

        • +1

5-year panel warranty as well. Sure you can probably go down consumer law route for the C4 as well but this is likely less hassle. I recently had a 3 year old GX refunded as the panel they tried to replace it with was also faulty. This along with the design and extra brightness would win me over. I also have a G2 which is amazing (even without MLA tech).

@bargainswede: I put in a claim with LG Australia for my 2019 65” C9 OLED TV (LG only provided a 1 year warranty with this TV) in November 2023 last year when it was 4 years and 3 months old, due to the panel developing hundreds of dead pixels around the top, bottom, left and right areas of the screen close to the edges, and they approved an all parts and labour repair at their expense without me having to say a word about Australian Consumer Law. During the installation of the brand new panel in my C9 the technicians discovered a second fault with the power supply board when they run a diagnostic test, a brand new power supply board was fitted to it as well at no cost to me. The entire experience from first contacting LG Australia about the fault (within 30 minutes of them approving the repair I was to contacted by their repair contractor, and they booked in the job to be done in my home for 48 hours later) to it being fully repaired and back on my wall mount watching it again took 1 week.

            • @Cevolution: Yeah they do seem pretty good with their warranty and customer support. Glad you got yours sorted quickly without any hassle. When they weren't able to repair my GX the process of getting the refund took a while but this was mostly due to the retailer (Myer) not playing along, in the end LG stepped in and refunded the full amount and picked the TV up.

HN has the same deal, but will likely have issues returning the soundbar

    • +1

Bought the C4 83" from HN last week. Still unopened. Does HN offer a price difference refund?

      • +3

No they just laugh at you

      • doubt it, but try your luck returning it or asking for same deal

  • I purchased c4 77 8 days ago, will JB price match post purchase?

    • +2

Yes they will. Go back to them with the invoice and ask for their 2 week price drop / difference match guarantee.

      • +1

Not sure they will. Now unless he also bought a sound bar?

        • Haven't bought the sound bar, paid $3.9K for the 77 C4. Guess I'll give them a call tomorrow, thanks for the reply!

    • Time to get a shoppers protection credit card too.

  • Has anyone successfully returned the soundbar?

      • Interesting seems to be based on store attendant, someone mentioned there that they asked someone in store and can't return without the tv which is a shame

Nice deal! last year I did a similar thing with the LG CS 77 OLED + soundbar, both $2788 and refunded the soundbar. 77 OLED was around $2350

    • Ripper deal! When was this?

Didn't see LG CS 77" go under $3k.

  • Damn what a deal! I bought 77 C1 3 years ago for $4.8k thought it was a good price…

  • Good deal! Why G4's price can't be slashed similarly?

    • +1

Because they are a lot better. Plus a newer model.

  • I bought the 77” 2 weeks ago by itself. Does anyone know if The Good Guys Gold extras with price guarantee can match this? They say no coupon code deals will be honoured.

  • +1

Hmmm, I just spent $6400 on a 83" G4 from Harvey Norman. Getting it installed tomorrow. Heres hoping I didnt pull the trigger too early on the purchase.

    • G4 is a better TV but whether it's $2000 better, only the owner can answer…

      • cant see the value in $2k difference, same price can get C4 83" & 55" + 2 x soundbar

  • +2

And JB HiFi suddenly will get Ozbargained from people returning LG Soundbars.

  • +3

Ahhh, I just purchased Samsung QN90D 98 inch just 2 days back through the other deal.
Now having mixed feelings about OLED 83” vs MiniLed 98”, quality vs the grand size 😀

  • About a 6 week wait for the 77’ C4 when I spoke to rep in store today.

Bit the nail and ordered online with delivery instead with a week estimate

  • Now that is an insane price for both models. There's going to be some happy shoppers from this.

  • Do any of these have a Samsung like one connect box rather than plugging cables into the back of the tv?

    Cheers
