    • good price, added to header

    • -5

Wow brave of you to tell the whole world.

  • +3

great price i paid slightly more for my cs 77 1.5 years ago.

    • +1

      Sameeeee!!

      • still an amazing tv! sadly hardly get time to use it anymore.

        • +2

Yeah, incredible! And same, got a 2yo and a 11mo old that take up far too much of my time to even consider using it to its full extent.

It plays the odd AFL game at the moment, which frankly, is an insult to its true capabilities. :P

  • +3

What a deal. Even better with 10% off gift cards

  • +4

For those in WA who prefer the gallery series, Retravision has the 77" G3 for $3995 less 5% = $3795.25 for RAC members ($55 for delivery).

    • Is there any difference between C & G series besides aesthetics?

      • +1

Yup. G series has MLA panel tech to increase brightness. G4 has v2 of that and new processor too

        • +3

5-year panel warranty as well. Sure you can probably go down consumer law route for the C4 as well but this is likely less hassle. I recently had a 3 year old GX refunded as the panel they tried to replace it with was also faulty. This along with the design and extra brightness would win me over. I also have a G2 which is amazing (even without MLA tech).

@bargainswede: I put in a claim with LG Australia for my 2019 65” C9 OLED TV (LG only provided a 1 year warranty with this TV) in November 2023 last year when it was 4 years and 3 months old, due to the panel developing hundreds of dead pixels around the top, bottom, left and right areas of the screen close to the edges, and they approved an all parts and labour repair at their expense without me having to say a word about Australian Consumer Law. During the installation of the brand new panel in my C9 the technicians discovered a second fault with the power supply board when they run a diagnostic test, a brand new power supply board was fitted to it as well at no cost to me. The entire experience from first contacting LG Australia about the fault (within 30 minutes of them approving the repair I was to contacted by their repair contractor, and they booked in the job to be done in my home for 48 hours later) to it being fully repaired and back on my wall mount watching it again took 1 week.

            • @[Deactivated]: Yeah they do seem pretty good with their warranty and customer support. Glad you got yours sorted quickly without any hassle. When they weren't able to repair my GX the process of getting the refund took a while but this was mostly due to the retailer (Myer) not playing along, in the end LG stepped in and refunded the full amount and picked the TV up.

            • @[Deactivated]: Same issue and repair (panel only) with my C9. Hopefully the replacement panel also has a warranty.

          • @bargainswede: G2 has the big ole heatsink , that will hopefully prevent burn-in and increase the life of the panel .
C2 longevity , at least theoretically , is a bit of a crapshoot without it .

        • Cheers mate, and thanks to everyone else who replied.

HN has the same deal, but will likely have issues returning the soundbar

    • +1

Bought the C4 83" from HN last week. Still unopened. Does HN offer a price difference refund?

      • +11

No they just laugh at you

        • @serpserpserp - Why would they laugh at him, as long as it’s within 7 days after purchasing the item Harvey Norman’s policy is that they will honour the lower price and refund the difference if theirs or a competitors price reduces for that item (obviously terms and conditions apply, such as the item needs to be in stock at their competitor):

          https://www.harveynorman.com.au/price-match-guarantee

      • doubt it, but try your luck returning it or asking for same deal

      • +1

        Why unopened?

        • Waiting for a friend to help out.

      • They will do it if asked , within a two week period .

Edit , was beaten to he punch by 11 hours or so by a comment from Rick James below .

Take an upvote Rick James .
        Yeaaa!! ah huh huh ..

        • Did you have you luck mate?

I also bought one C4 77" from HN last week, delivered, unopened as well.

Do you know if they will match this deal for me? Thanks @BellaWii @beach bum

          • @Smilence03: Response from HN online chat, "Unfortunately our price guarantee policy is for 7 days only, sincerest apologies but it is now outside of the 7 days."

            • @BellaWii: This is why you don’t ever shop there ,
and if they ever have a cheaper price it’s only because they promo the fcuk out of any manufacturer’s rebate a few days earlier than other retailers.

              • @beach bum: I just went to HN in store for a deal match and the manager kindly agreed to that with no issues. The deal ends tonight at HN.

I paid the difference which is about 60 bucks and got a S60T. @BellaWii

                Try your luck I guess.

                • @Smilence03: Congrats on your price match. Didn't realise the deal ends tonight, got my dates mixed up as the JB deals ends 10/7. Anyway there was no way I could have ducked out of work today.

              • @beach bum: Lesson learnt :)

        • +2

Rick james was answering a question about JB price match not HN.

Decided overnight to get the G4 rather than a price drop refund on the C4. Chatted online with HN, they don't offer a change of mind policy so they won't let me buy the G4 and return the C4. Said "if your product is in a saleable condition you can take your product to a local Harvey Norman who will assess it and decide whether a refund can be offered". I'll take photos of the box and see what they say in the store.

          • +1

@BellaWii: I feel like the online chat support are the most unhelpful bunch of people who are not willing to consider any wiggle room.

It seems that the only thing to do is try in store and see what they say now. Thank you for the update!!!

      • +1

Bought at Harvey Norman on the weekend before I saw this deal. They refunded me the difference today and I will get the sound bar when stock arrives. Best to speak with them in store.

  • I purchased c4 77 8 days ago, will JB price match post purchase?

    • +3

Yes they will. Go back to them with the invoice and ask for their 2 week price drop / difference match guarantee.

      • +2

Not sure they will. Now unless he also bought a sound bar?

        • Haven't bought the sound bar, paid $3.9K for the 77 C4. Guess I'll give them a call tomorrow, thanks for the reply!

          • @SJin: Just did it for my brother on a different TV, managed to get a refund and the soundbar he didn't purchase initially . I had to go instore though they cant do it over the phone.

    • +1

Time to get a shoppers protection credit card too.

  • Has anyone successfully returned the soundbar?

      • Interesting seems to be based on store attendant, someone mentioned there that they asked someone in store and can't return without the tv which is a shame

  • +3

Nice deal! last year I did a similar thing with the LG CS 77 OLED + soundbar, both $2788 and refunded the soundbar. 77 OLED was around $2350

    • +1

      Ripper deal! When was this?

Didn't see LG CS 77" go under $3k.

  • +1

    Damn what a deal! I bought 77 C1 3 years ago for $4.8k thought it was a good price…

    • +2

3 years ago? You should have waited.

      • +2

        :D Thanks for the laugh

  • +1

Good deal! Why G4's price can't be slashed similarly?

    • +1

Because they are a lot better. Plus a newer model.

    • Depending on the size you're after, the 65" G4 + soundbar can be had for $3388 currently, which I think might be an all time low for it.

      • Eyeing the 77". If the price is right, wouldn't mind the 83"!

  • I bought the 77” 2 weeks ago by itself. Does anyone know if The Good Guys Gold extras with price guarantee can match this? They say no coupon code deals will be honoured.

    • Probably not, but what if you were to buy another one from jb and return it to them lol

Would be a massive hassle, but guess it depends how much you would save

      • +1

Plot twist: they don't accept either return

    • If you bought the same tv and soundbar you’ll get 120% of the difference as a gift voucher. If you didn’t get the same products you’ll be SOL

    • Just ask them ,
Gg and jb are the same company owners now .

  • +1

Hmmm, I just spent $6400 on a 83" G4 from Harvey Norman. Getting it installed tomorrow. Heres hoping I didnt pull the trigger too early on the purchase.

    • +1

G4 is a better TV but whether it's $2000 better, only the owner can answer…

      • +1

        cant see the value in $2k difference, same price can get C4 83" & 55" + 2 x soundbar

    • +2

The g4 has MLA, it's far better.

Here's hoping the c5 or c6 gets it

    • Stop looking at these posts and just enjoy your new awesome TV! Seriously.

      • Just had it wallmounted today and have been playing Uncharted 4 on it. Amazing TV. My wife always tells me to stay off ozbargain after making a big purchase.

        • wife always tells me to stay off ozbargain after making a big purchase.

Then why are you still on here?!

  • +3

And JB HiFi suddenly will get Ozbargained from people returning LG Soundbars.

    • Cheap soundbar sale coming soon at jb .

    • wonder if they'll update T&Cs, or still make enough on the TV regardless (or content with just getting customer involvement etc)

  • +4

Ahhh, I just purchased Samsung QN90D 98 inch just 2 days back through the other deal.
Now having mixed feelings about OLED 83” vs MiniLed 98”, quality vs the grand size 😀

    • It is interesting because if you just went from 55 or 65 you probably would have been blown away by a 77 or 83 size. But now you have a 98" everything else seems small now.

      • Yeah, right! I currently have 65” but looking at the size of my living room it is small. My living room is very bright btw.
My samsung 98” isn’t going to be delivered for 1 more week so I am like in two minds now if I should cancel 98” for 5k (immersive exp) in favour of oled 83” for 4.5k (quality).
I know I am not going to get samsung 98” for that price anytime soon again

        • Bright living room, not too fussed for the features of the LG, you want immersive, probably the Samsung is right for you.

        • Go the LG , Oled is frigin awesome and these C4’s get bright now ,1000 nits hdr easy .

        • See the comparison for yourself
          https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/lg-c4-oled-vs-samsun…

Also Samsung just extended that sale price on the 98" to 31-July, doesn't look like its a EOFY limited offer anymore.

  • About a 6 week wait for the 77’ C4 when I spoke to rep in store today.

Bit the nail and ordered online with delivery instead with a week estimate

  • Now that is an insane price for both models. There's going to be some happy shoppers from this.

  • Do any of these have a Samsung like one connect box rather than plugging cables into the back of the tv?

    Cheers

    • +2

      No

    • Only Samsung has a product like that

    • One connect box is one of those good idea in theory but POS in implementation devices.
My mate has one and his PS5 connection randomly drops out. Going by the complaints on reddit and avsforum this is a frequent complaint from users.

After seeing this I prefer the individual HDMI cable method.

  • Does any JB-Hifi store near Sydney CBD have stock for Click & Collect? Seems the nearest is located in Nowra.

  • Damn I want that 83"… Waiting for my 75" Sony to kick the bucket though…

    • My 75" Bravia has been going strong since 2016… It just won't die. Can't sell it, won't throw it

  • Wait is that a c4 83 inch for 4400!?

  • FYea, soooooooooooooooo tempting .
If only this was the G2 and ,
    If only I hadn’t bought a 65’ C2 so recently ,

and also it’s a fact that these LG TV’s have such good speakers that it was an easy decision to return the soundbar and run the TV naked ,
and the fact jb make returns so hassle free ,
and also the price reduction .

  • Is the Samsung S90D 83" a better tv for a similar price? Weighing it up with the C4 and can't decide.
