  • “ spend $3,000 or more on eligible purchases with each new Card”

Does this mean you have to spend $6k in total? That’s pretty high for only 90k points

    • I think it is based on
75,000 Velocity Points with your Westpac Platinum Mastercard®
15,000 Velocity Points with your American Express® Westpac Altitude Platinum Card
So, just spend 3k on the Mastercard and get 75k points, dont bother with the AMEX 3k spend. Would be good if someone could check with Westpac to confirm

  • Didn't this bundle previously earn 100k velocity points?

    • No, previously 75k total (60k on the Mastercard)

  • I think this one earns 100k if I'm not mistaken:

    • Black Bundle gets 100k velocity points. Minimum income $75k.

80,000 bonus Velocity Points when you apply, are approved and spend $4,000 on eligible purchases on the Mastercard® within 90 days of card approval.
      Annual Card fee: $250
      Annual Altitude Velocity fee: $50

20,000 bonus Velocity Points when you apply, are approved and spend $3,000 on eligible purchases on the American Express Westpac Altitude Black Card within 90 days of Card approval.
Annual Card fee: $99 in the first year, $199 thereafter

4 lounge passes and 2 Economy X upgrades a year.

  • Hmmmmm tempted.

$900 worth of velocity points if valuing them conservatively at 1 cent each :-)

$200 total annual fee in first year is OK :-)

    6k min spend :-(

    2 credit checks :-(

    :-|

It will probably be just one credit check by Westpac
See comment above about the 6k spend - I think 3k would get you 75k points.

  • +1

I've had this card bundle before. Though from memory the promo was 90k points with the westpac and 30k with amex for 120k total.

It will be two seperate credit checks for those interested and 3k spend per card to attain bonus points.

  • I seem to recall 50 or 75 velocity Status Credits being a benefit previously, is that no longer a thing?

  • https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/474871 this is a much better deal.. 60k points $50 fee.. one credit check
