      Yep. 2nd gen increases lumens but if you want raw brightness would be better going with the all white version which apparently is brighter

      LIFX are much better in terms of brightness, particularly with colors and the app is far better. That said, they're significantly dearer.

    I have 4. I find the Gen 2 bright enough, but I use for mood lighting in a cluster of 3. Colours are excellent. Great bang for buck I think and pretty well made. I also like that you don't need a gateway.
