Will Xiaomi yeelight support Project Connected Home over IP (CHoIP)?

    • Considering it's not even a thing yet, your question is a bit premature.

  • Which size do we get for Australia? E26 or E27? Is the actual color of the E27 Purple even when it's off?

    • +2

E27 for Australia & white/frosted when off. Check out the YouTube video for further info.

      • Thanks so much!! Appreciate the quick reply! Is this considered a good price for it you think?

        • +3

You can check past deals here to compare prices. If you have eBay plus could get it slightly cheaper when Shopping Square have another sale

@adr8: Super helpful. Thanks for taking the time!

  • These are not bright enough. I have three.

    • Yep. 2nd gen increases lumens but if you want raw brightness would be better going with the all white version which apparently is brighter

    • What's the equivalent wattage to incadecent bulbs? Or lumens?

      • +1

These 800 lumen ones are the equivalent of a 60W incadecent bulb.

  • How do these compare to the LIFX mini colour bulbs? Aside from obviously being much cheaper.

    • LIFX are much better in terms of brightness, particularly with colors and the app is far better. That said, they're significantly dearer.

  • I have 4. I find the Gen 2 bright enough, but I use for mood lighting in a cluster of 3. Colours are excellent. Great bang for buck I think and pretty well made. I also like that you don't need a gateway.

    • I am keen to do a cluster of 4, how do you control your 3?

  • I got a YLDP06YL ages ago. Can anyone get music mode to work? I can't…

  • It was probably wishful thinking that this would still be active… getting ‘coupon code expired’ message. :(
