Got this for $535 with $50 cashback during the black Friday cashback sale from amazon and shopback. Don't forget the $50 coffee credit.
alternatively there is the uno from Myer ebay https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nespresso-Creatista-Uno-Capsule-… for 359.2
or https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Breville-Nespresso-Creatista-Plu… this is $470 for some reason
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nespresso-by-Breville-Creatista-… and myer ebay is also 519.20

    • what's the difference between the Plus and the Uno?

      • Lcd on the plus with more milk settings vs buttons with a few milk settings.
Personally would have bought the uno if it was significantly cheaper but wasn’t that much of a price difference in the two at the time so got the plus.

the exclusion of the milk settings from cheaper models is a very artificial one intended to get you to pay significantly more for a higher model.

They do this with their Lattissima range too. I hate it. There's no reason why they couldn't have included them in the lower models.

I have the black version of this machine and it is by far the best machine I have had. It is so versatile.
I can make all types of coffee, Chai lattes, and hot chocs.
HOWEVER, do yourself a favour and DON'T buy one.
Nespresso have them for $1 on a coffee subscription where you pay $75 per month for 12 months and that $75 goes toward coffee credit. Even if you don't use $75 worth of pods each month it rolls over so you will eventually use it up, it's just the more coffee you drink the quicker you'll get through it.
Think about it, you have to buy pods anyway, so why not make the deal work for you. I know you can get knock-off pods, but I found they aren't worth the few cents savings.

Alternatively, do yourself a favour and buy the Breville Bambino Plus. The same size but a proper coffee machine that makes far better coffee for less money. If you get the Breville Smart Grinder to go with it you'll be making coffee as good as your local after a few you tube lessons on dialling in the grinder and tamping.

      • While I agree, I use to have one of these and moved to a Breville dual boiler and smart grinder.

Clearly the bdb makes way better coffee but this machine was definitely way less hassle, required no 'lessons' to the wife or others that visit that may make a coffee and still made a pretty decent (for pod coffee) coffee with decent frothed milk.

Dont regret upgrading but also don't regret owning the creatista for a couple of years prior.

        • One key different with the Bambino Plus is that it has a magic milk wand that makes perfect milk with a touch of a button. If you stick to the same coffee and therefore same grind and timer then after that it's just about the tamp so it's still very easy.

    • Strange, on the site I see they are only offering the VertuoPlus machines on subscription.

      • That is weird, I'm getting the same when looking at it now. Wasn't like that a month ago.
I can definitely say they had the original machines on subscription a few weeks back. Not sure why they aren't on the website now. Maybe a phone call to Nespresso is warranted, they're pretty helpful.

          Ok I see why now:

“Why can I not buy Essenza Mini, Lattissima One or Creatista Uno on Subscription at the moment?
The machines included in our subscription program are subject to availability and at the moment these machines are unavailable on subscription. The latest Nespresso coffee system, Vertuo, with revolutionary barcode technology is currently available on subscription with either a VertuoPlus or VertuoPlus & Aeroccino3 plan. Alternatively, you can purchase any Nespresso machine outright from Nespresso boutiques, at Nespresso.com and over the phone on 1800 623 033.”

          Revolutionary barcode technology indeed…

@smartazz104: They're trying to move people over to the vertuo, printer model re cartridges

        • when you bought yours, was the entire range available or just some?

    • How many people can drink $75 worth of pods a month? These things have around 6 month expiry or less.

    • The only coffee subscription plan I see is for the Vertuo Plus for $50 a month or with Aeroccino3 for $60 a month.

I don't see any other models.

a Nespresso for $500+….. oh jeez I came in for laughs and wasn't disappointed.

Not everyone has time to sort out a real coffee machine in the morning. I make my nespresso in the 3 minutes I have between getting my kid's brekky and bottles and stuff sorted in the morning.

    $500 for a pod coffee

    Waste of time and cash

Spend money on a decent grinder and get a Moccamaster

Bought a newie for $175 from a proper business recently

    • Yeah you bought one that isn’t this one.

      • -1

        You're right… It was a black BNE800…

  • Price is back up to $639 now.

I have one of these. And I really like it. But it keeps rusting/breaking and I'm on to my 4th machine!
