Buy a 4 Game GA Collingwood Magpies Membership, Get 10 Games | Buy a GA Membership, Get a Reserved Home Bay

210

I just received an email from the Mighty Pies. Click on the above link to their membership page and look for the 'upgrade' thingy on the packages.

Buy a General Admission Membership, get upgraded to Reserved Home Bay. Cost 210. Save $165.
This isn't a reserved seat, it just gets you into a decent area near the wing on the members side for home games, and a reserved seat at Marvel for Pies home games, plus a reserved seat at the Anzac Day game.

Buy a 4 game General Admission Membership, get upgraded to a 10 Game Membership. You get sent 10 GA tickets. Use them one at a time. Take a mate etc. You can use them at any home game. It will only cost you $105 for 10 GA tickets. Bargain.

There is also a Junior Upgrade pack that I didn't look at. $25 upgraded to a Junior Stars Package. Not sure what that is.

Valid for a 'short time' only. I can't see when it ends.

Go Pies!

    What is this filth…..

I have teeth. Can I still join?

Delete the deal! The last thing we need is more pies fans!

  • +2

I love that Collingwood are so openly trolling their fans with this deal knowing none of them can actually afford it.

    Classic Eddie

  • A 3 pack you say - one for each tooth!

Not a Collingwood fan, but that's amazing value ($10.50 each for 10 tickets) - I pay $109 for a 3 game membership for the Crows in Adelaide…

    • +1

Same and it doesn't even get you a seat.

Plus the food prices are off the charts.

      • I've always managed to get a seat at the G for free with my general admisssion except for the ANZAC match.
Yes, food and drink prices are inflated, which is why I always bring my own.

        • +1

Yeah but can't bring your own hot chips but agree can bring other stuff.

Yeah at the G you are fine just not in Adelaide.

Funny thing - there are only 9 home games at the AFL this year, and one of those is ANZAC day when a GA won't get you anywhere. So you have to bring a mate at least twice.

Me and my bro used the offer last year, 11 games for $100….. got reserved seats when it mattered and skipped ANZAC day, great value.

You answered my question though, I was gonna call the club to find out if this includes the actual reserve seat ticket, and it's in M11-13 - I don't like getting rained on. If it was level N or P reserve on sale, I would bit.

I'm likely to go for the $105 one, there are only two blockbuster home games (richmond and geelong) besides ANZAC day and you can just get decent seats to those as soon as reserve ticket sales open.

    • Collingwood has 9 home games at the G and 2 at Marvel Stadium, so you don't have to bring a mate at least twice.
I use one of my GA tickets when I book for the ANZAC match. You just have to pay for a seat upgrade so your ticket is cheaper than for non-members.
I am on a auto-renewal plan so my membership for 2020 was charged in October, so I am not eligible for this deal. Otherwise I would have purchased it.
      Go Pies!

Normally membership costs you an arm and a leg, this is just a few teeth.

  • Should change their theme song to say "runner up for the premiership is a cakewalk"

  • LOL - so buy a 4 game membership - get upgraded and get counted as a full member in the membership tally.

Great marketing though - 3 times as many members for 1/2 the price!

    • +1

Not sure what currently qualifies but it used to be that any membership over $50 would count towards a club’s membership total, regardless of how many games it entitled you to, even if there were zero games included.

      • WekKaiLe, you are correct in saying that memberships over $50 count towards a club's membership total, regardless of how many games it entitles you to.

According to AFL regulations relatingto memberships, to be counted as a member, an individual must have a name, contact details, have contributed at least $50 to the club and received a membership pack. AFL regulations relating to membership figures also include multiple memberships held by an individual, but not pet memberships. Memberships for babies and toddlers are included as long as the package is > $50.

    • Your claim that Collingwood has upgraded their 4-game memberships to full game memberships so that they can include those members in the membership tally is false.

Collingwood's 4-game membership costs > $50 so those memberships are properly included in the official membership tally under AFL regulations.

You claim that Collingwood manipulates their membership packages to inflate their membership figures, yet club St. Kilda has even a lower category (a 3-game membership package) that’s included in their official membership tally. If you call what Collingwood does is “Great marketing”, then St. Kilda’s is even a greater marketing ploy! LOL

  • A few year ago bough the cheapest membership to get $500 off the best negotiated price of a Holden perk . Not sure what current perks are .

    • Who would actually buy a Holden these days? Last month Mercedes Benz outsold Holden.

  • No longer showing the 'upgrade' thingy on the packages? I guess this is expired?
