S2000Pro has the 4 DSP EQ modes which allow for more control over the sound than the S1000DB which has just the Bass & Treble controls on the back.
On the S2000Pro you can set the EQ mode to one of the 4 options (Monitor / Classic / Vocal / Dynamic), then you can fine tune with the Bass & Treble controls.

Also the S1000DB model uses titanium metal-dome tweeters which can be harsh & fatiguing to listen to. The S2000Pro has superior Planar-diaphragm tweeters which achieve as much detail / resolution but are much less fatiguing, and has more power behind each woofer than the S1000DB.
