Some idiot will buy one then put it up for sale years later and label it as RARE.
You could technically label it rare now.
You prefer medium-well?
Who is the idiot though?
The one that swallows the sales pitch surely. You mean like Commodores in SA?
That 4wd thing has been beaten senseless with the ugly stick.
No CR , No Deal!
Does the fire damage come up on the revs check?
Hi All, I have a silly question. How do we find the usual price of these vehicles ? The quoted discount % are based on RRP but I believe no one pays RRP anyway..
For example I was looking at official Australian inifiniti website, the price for QX70 starts at $56,888, instead of RRP $84,273 drive away
Can anyone enlighten me?
https://www.carsguide.com.au/infiniti/qx70/price/2019.
I always liked the QX70. I am slightly tempted by this. I nearly bought an X3 with M pack a couple of months ago for 75K. But thought about it, decided it was a want and not a need.
We were considering the qx70 s design vs x3 xdrive30d with m pack, f25 lci (so ex demo 2016 and 2017 run out, not the current g01).
Decided to hold off as i felt the x3 is similar in size to a cx5 (we have a new +1 now), and moving from a nissan murano, the qx70 is too similar from the driver's seat. rwd and better tuned engine - would you really notice the difference day to day?
Now sussing out a wagon which is probably more sensible (Subaru outback 3.6r vs skoda superb 206)
I also looked at the Skoda Kodiaq, solid choice… but I can not get myself to buy a VW product, even if the Czech make them. Dieselgate is not. a joke. Shameful.
IMO the CX5 is not the same size as the BMW X3, maybe the X1. BMW X3 I think closer to the Cx8. We test drove Cx9, 8, 5 and Volvo XC60.
@ozf1: Funny you mention dieselgate. I was perfectly fine being ignorant of it… until one of those autoexpert eps/opinion pieces started lingering in my conscience. Damn you, VAG…
What's weird about these Infinitis in the used market is they all drop to around 25k after a few years and then hover around there for like 3 years. Its got to be the weirdest depreciation curve I've seen on any car.
Have driven them in the US and love them..this could be a great opportunity.
Anyone know if they will continue to have sales and service here?
They will according to their Facebook account. They've also just appointed a new after sale manager.
Thats going to be a short tenure. There won't be an 'after; for very long…
The resale will be fantastic
Never heard of them before. (Most likely why they're leaving.)
They're a really good car tbh.
Just Nissan's luxury brand, like Lexus is Toyota's.
Neesarn
Ever heard of Genesis? they came and kicking Infiniti out.
Went to Genesis showroom at Sydney CBD, and quite impressed with their build. But dashboard and technology is a bit outdated for the price they're selling.
Is the QX70 a 7 seater?
No. 5

QX80 has been negotiable for $84k for a year. I considered one before purchasing a Y62 Patrol.
Infiniti QX80 is basically the Y26 Nissan Patrol with a fancy interior.
Yep, I know. The new patrol that launches next month is actually close to being identical inside and out.
TRS applys if you'll travel in the next 60 days :)
Any similar prices in NSW?
Q60 is a stunning looking car. And I am eagerly awaiting the car to go sub 30k.
My partners G35 has been a great cheap daily. Hopefully it can one day replace it.
That Q50 3L Twin Turbo is very desirable.. lol.. Still too expensive at fire sales I think.
Struggling to find what segment each car fits into. The QX70 seems to be in the kluger/Santa fe/Sorrento segment, right? And the qx80 is obviously a reskinned patrol.
We’re looking for something a bit bigger than our Tucson, we’re considering the Sorrento and Santa Fe, but the qx70 is well priced if it’s the same size.
FWIW, the QX70 has only 5 seats.
The QX70 is a beautiful car.
I might check it out if it’s the same price in Perth
Problem with the QX70 is the interior. The exterior doesn't look 7-8 years old at all
Doesn’t or does?
yeah..interior is dated.
<sucks teeth> $37k for a Q50 feels like good buying. Sub $40k for a new rear drive very well appointed sedan around C-Class/3 series size. The interior's a generation behind, but you could do worse, and with Nissan support I don't think resale's going to be too bad for these.
This is almost impulse buy at this price. Mighty tempted.
The second hand market for Infinitis is unfortunately pretty bad. People are struggling to sell their cars second hand (makes sense, considering no one is buying them new either).
So I would caution against buy one if you're not looking at keeping it long term.
Other than that, nothing wrong with them. Part availability and servicing shouldn't be a problem considering they are all on Nissan platforms.
Does this Infinti sale have an expiry date or does that open them up to false advertising?
Thanks OP! Price matched at hyundai, they just made an infiniti logo out of paper and stuck it over the top, cant even tell the difference!
We will see similar deal a year or two from now for Genesis.
These cars are quite nice but the resale on them is absolutely terrible. This sale will even further crush resale values.
I think we are looking at the official car of Ozb.
Wow that’s amazing price
Q60 Red Sport under 40k would be a tempting proposition
Looks like I’ll check them out tomorrow. My Company car is due for an upgrade.
Sounds like an amazing deal. Haven't got that much free cash lying around though..
Infiniti QX30 not on the list
Generally ugly styling, cheap plastics, ancient interiors, and a raft of parts shared with other Nissan vehicles…at a premium? Yeah, that would go really well in Australia.
The Nissan Patrol is getting a facelift and a properly updated interior. So the QX80 will be even more ancient soon…
Don't buy now.
Prices are bound to get lower when the order from Japan comes to get rid of all remaining cars and to accept any "reasonable" offer.
I thought it’s pretty reasonable already at 44% off for the QX70
It is a good discount, but they are bound to knock some more off because they have a few where the box is damaged.
Box damaged? You mean gear box?
@Aerith-Waifu: T'was a joke (well almost); I was referring to the sales technique Sony Direct use to sell their TV's really cheap, the reason given- "because the box is damaged", when it's not really.
@alidli: Oh ha hahahaha ha……
I reckon after Christmas, probably late January will be a good time to drop into the dealer.
Just offer less…
wouldnt it depend if they sell all of them at 44% off?
Just put down deposit for 3 Q50s
Thx OpYou really bought 3????
Perfect car for Uber
Easily Uber Black
Infiniti QX……once competing with Mercedes & BMW
Now Havalreal talk here… is this actually worth it no memes? genuinely considering buying it if it is actually decent
Buy, but keep for several years so depreciation levels out.
Luxury motoring will never be cheaper than this.
This is luxury car??? Why interior looked so bad… Doesn't have that BMW/Mercs feeling for a 'luxury' car…
I'll stick with KIA Stinger, thanks…
Kia stinger not much of a luxury feel either. Even Lexus feel cheap in places to me, Japanese/Koreans just don't know how to do good interiors and make poor material choices. But for ~40k it is pretty good buying even despite the dated interior/technology. The exterior styling on the Q60 is great, and they are a pretty good drive too with twin turbo V6. They are not perfect cars though, and were incredibly over priced so no wonder the brand failed here.
Try a Mazda if you want a jap with a nice interior
Band 28?
Don't understand why you got neg'd. Made me cracked.
Wow Qx70 is cheaper than the Rav4 cruiser hybrid awd and I don't have to wait a year. Might pick one up on the way to work tmrw.
My budget for cars tops out at 5k.
I like the Q60, if that was the 3L version I'd actually consider buying!
Great offer, wish I was in the market for a new car…the QX70 would be on the list.
Fuel Consumption: Urban Cycle (16.8 l/100km)
Ouch! The dash is super ugly too.
I'm hunting for a QX70 now.
I'm curious to know if it's better long term (servicing wise mainly) to get a Diesel or Petrol.
Anybody know?
Isn't QX70 is petrol only.
I also find QX70 has been discontinued since 2017. Not sure why they have 2019 Model
question, elderly relative looking at a new forester, budget low $40ks,
would the q70 be a lot more bang for buck for $46k??
I know the original price is just overpriced, but the $46k will represent far better value than forester
One looks ugly from outside while the other looks ugly from inside.
Pick oneThat’s what he said…
https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2019-INFINITI-QX70-…
Can get a demo with 1500km for $52k
As a comparisonLooking at the interior and even some aspects of the exterior its hard to believe its a 2019 model.
That interior leather looks identical to my X-Trails from 3 years ago LOL ouch i can see why they wont sell any … with that sort of interior .. cant speak for the engines etc
No android auto and carplay in 2019?
These probably began their life before these became a must … and havent had a refresh, i know both my Ninssan dont have them and they are 3 years old. :) Not even sure if the new Nissans have it … so id put it down to a Nissan thing lol
The QX70 was released the same year the iPhone 3G was released. Apple didn't have Carplay too back then.
The brand Infiniti is so under rated; I have one myself for 8+ years and minimum maintenance costs:D
that interior is shocking for a 'luxury' car. no wonder.
Reminds me of the time I bought all those HD-DVD’s
I know, high bit rate LOL.
Still got some I'm shrink wrap :/
Good cars. Shit marketing.
Owned a Q70 before and it was super reliable.
Looks like Nissan will take over the service liability
