Looks like Nest Min missed out on a 3.5mm output.
So you basically get just better bass, a hole in the back to ‘hang’ it, and 3 mics instead of 2.Also the price in the deal is quite average since the Mini are selling in a twin-pack for $79.
Google mini doesn't have one either. If you really want it for music get the Max or a sonos would be better option
Yes but apparently some were expecting it on the new Nest Mini, since the Chromecast Audio was discontinued.
Opened my mini up and fairly easily installed a 3.5mm jack. You have the choice of either make it exclusive when plugged in, or run in tandem with the minis speaker (I went this option).
Perfect for my home gym where I’ve got old school bass speakers and an amp, and it’s ready to go the second I turn on the power.you can also get bluetooth audio receivers from ebay with a 3.5mm output. I have a home mini in my home office and a bluetooth receiver on the aux in of the older micro system, you interact with the home mini and if you want to play music it routes the stream to the mini system via bluetooth.

These things have crap sound, but this has because way less of an issue since they introduced the ability to pair them to bluetooth speakers. With a pair of Edifier bluetooth speakers, a mini is all you need.
GHM sound is still much richer than of an Amazon Echo Dot 2.
I can concur, I have both the GHM and Echo Dot 2. The sound of the Echo is crap compared to the GHM.

Yeah…got same offer if i spend $185 per week for next 4 or 16000 points. Assuming I spent that amount per week I would take the 16000 points as thats $80 worth and more than a Chromecast is worth. Not a chance I spend close to that per week………no idea why they sent me that!

You can only transcribe conversations, more private sounds/noises were also secretly uploaded to Google.
