Remember this back in April?

Yes! 10% cashback (normally 1%) for eBay is back on again today. You can make as many purchases as you like with no cap. There are no restrictions with this cashback (other than the categories listed under the "Some important things to note" section). Only available for purchases through the ShopBack app. Make sure you go through store "eBay Flash Australia" on the app.

Feel free to stack this cashback with the following coupons (which we've also listed in our app):

Some important things to note:

  • Allow up to 5 days for cashback to track (if there are any delays in tracking, we'll inform you as such)
  • You can still earn cashback when using eBay gift cards as a payment method
  • If you use a code that we have not listed up towards an order, then you will not be eligible for cashback
  • Cashback is not applicable on gift cards, charity and non-profit items, eBay Plus membership, Cars, Bikes, Boats , Coins, Real Estate, Services, Tickets, Travel
  • Cashback is not applicable to items purchased from the Coles store on eBay

  • Can I pay for my order using eBay gift cards and still qualify for cashback?
    Yes.

  • Can I use the eBay app to purchase?
    You may, however ensure you are signed into your eBay account first. Then click through to eBay from the ShopBack app to continue your purchase.

  • I don’t have the eBay app, would I still qualify?
    Yes, simply click through to eBay from the ShopBack app and shop as usual on eBay’s mobile site.

  • Would auctions/best offers work for cashback?
    If you won the auction or had a best offer accepted without clicking through ShopBack prior, then you won't qualify for cashback. Clicks through ShopBack must also be done within 24 hours of winning the auction/having the best offer accepted. The cashback rate applicable would be the rate at time the auction ended/best offer was accepted. Payment must also be made on the same day (ideally win the auction/best offer and pay for it in one sitting).

  • How long will it take for cashback to track?
    Up to 5 days from date of purchase.

    Hi all,

    Apologies for this but we wanted to put in an update now as there's unfortunately been another technical issue which has delayed orders from coming in to our systems again. eBay has confirmed that the transaction data is there on their side however will need more time to push the data from their systems to our side.

    At this stage, no action is required (ie. submitting a missing cashback claim) other than to wait a little longer. Once things start to move we'll continue updating everyone here. If a missing cashback claim submission is required, we'll inform you as such.

        Shopback tracked and confirmed within about 2 weeks

        Cr is scheduled to confirm at end of nov

      I made two transactions. One is between $20-$30, tracked at 10%; the other is between $80-$90, tracked at about 8.25%.

      I suggest you check the click history in your account first to see if it was recorded as "eBay Flash Australia", not "eBay Australia". Unfortunately, the latter one only gives you 1% cashback, which was mentioned in the deal. You should have clicked "eBay Flash Australia" to shop.

    Have received Cashback tracking for all items purchased. However the amounts are not covering the balance that was paid via eBay GC, which is in excess of $2500. One transaction that was $1250 payed entirely with ebay GC is stating $0 pending.
    I thought this promotion was applicable to purchases made with eBay gift cards.
    NOT HAPPY, I hope this is an error!

        the whole reason why i joined shop back was for that 10% juicy discount
        hopefully they fix the issue…

        mine was all on paypal no gift cards, or other stacked coupons (they were eligible for the standard ebay deals)

    I got $51.63 back from a $622.73 purchase (item price only).
    Looks to be 8.29% only.

    Made 3 purchases total of $394.09 and only got $8.28 cashback.

    Noticed 2 of the transactions said ordered on 29th and the other on the 30th Sept. Weird.

    All were ordered on the 30th and it clearly says this in my ebay purchase history.

    Missing approx $500 cash back from a 10k purchase which I was counting on to justify buying the item via ebay. I even clarified this earlier in this thread with the Shopback rep to make sure the full 10% would be honored on such a large purchase - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/486553?page=2#comment-7786….

    If the full 10% is not going to be honored as promised, I need to know this asap so I can move to cancel my order.

        How long does it take to investigate?
        I clicked through ShopBack and there's a click history, however, there is no record of cashback,
        I clicked at 20:31 and paid on 20:35 that day and used 5X $200 gift cards to pay, I didn't use any vouchers at all..It is very frustrating.

    Just another update now, the issue has now been resolved and you should see the correct rate in your cashback activity. Due to caching your lifetime earnings balance may not be up to date yet, so please refer to your individual cashback entries in your cashback activity instead.

      Your cashback of $0.00 was rejected and removed from your pending earnings for one of these reasons: 1. Your order was cancelled, returned or exchanged, partially or fully 2. Your order was paid for with a gift voucher 3. Payment or stay was not completed. If this was not the case, email us at [email protected] and we will check in with our merchants. Note: The partner store holds sole discretion in determining the cashback validity.

      I have no phone number to get a hold of anyone with, it was paid with eBay gift cards, which as stated was included. I have the item and it was not cancelled, with click history at every point of the transaction.

      I have emailed the above email and have not received any response. Pretty pissed off at the moment.

        As mentioned to you via PM, the claim was rejected because it was a duplicate claim. The existing/initial claim was already under "Investigating" status but was just recently approved and processed.

      To be fair, the rep is usually pretty quick and friendly to reply. But in this case i messaged a few times with no reply as well. Emailed helpdesk but seems like helpdesk just want a quick solution that the Cashback is not valid which is not true. Hope the rep can sort it out soon.

    Looked into why mine hadn’t been tracked yet and it turns out that even though I placed my order just before midnight, the confirmation didn’t come for three hours so order date is marked as the day after. Never seen that happen with eBay before. Frig. That’ll teach me 🤷🏻‍♀️

    Mine has updated from $51.63 to $61.87 but still not 10%, only 9.935284954956401%
    Item total was $622.73.

    10% is $62.273
    So $0.403 short.

    Ohh well, close enough but false advertising!
