10% Cashback (Was 1%, No Cap) at eBay Australia via the ShopBack App

9555

Hey guys,

Remember this back in April?

Yes! 10% cashback (normally 1%) for eBay is back on again today. You can make as many purchases as you like with no cap. There are no restrictions with this cashback (other than the categories listed under the "Some important things to note" section). Only available for purchases through the ShopBack app. Make sure you go through store "eBay Flash Australia" on the app.

Feel free to stack this cashback with the following coupons (which we've also listed in our app):

Some important things to note:

  • Allow up to 5 days for cashback to track (if there are any delays in tracking, we'll inform you as such)
  • You can still earn cashback when using eBay gift cards as a payment method
  • If you use a code that we have not listed up towards an order, then you will not be eligible for cashback
  • Cashback is not applicable on gift cards, charity and non-profit items, eBay Plus membership, Cars, Bikes, Boats , Coins, Real Estate, Services, Tickets, Travel
  • Cashback is not applicable to items purchased from the Coles store on eBay
  • Completely disable all mobile ad/script blockers and ensure prevent-cross site tracking/tracking protection options or similar are disabled in your phone settings
  • Do not click on advertising banners or sponsored links on the eBay website
  • ShopBack must be the last link you clicked in order to get Cashback. If other website links are clicked after clicking through ShopBack, cashback will not be tracked.
  • If you click through ShopBack only after winning an auction or a best offer, you will not be eligible for cashback for those purchases
  • Return to ShopBack and click through to eBay through the ShopBack app every time you are making a new transaction

A few other terms apply - refer to our app for the full list of details.

Happy shopping!

FAQs

  • Can I pay for my order using eBay gift cards and still qualify for cashback?
    Yes.

  • Can I use the eBay app to purchase?
You may, however ensure you are signed into your eBay account first. Then click through to eBay from the ShopBack app to continue your purchase.

  • I don’t have the eBay app, would I still qualify?
Yes, simply click through to eBay from the ShopBack app and shop as usual on eBay’s mobile site.

  • Would auctions/best offers work for cashback?
If you won the auction or had a best offer accepted without clicking through ShopBack prior, then you won't qualify for cashback. Clicks through ShopBack must also be done within 24 hours of winning the auction/having the best offer accepted. The cashback rate applicable would be the rate at time the auction ended/best offer was accepted. Payment must also be made on the same day (ideally win the auction/best offer and pay for it in one sitting).

  • How long will it take for cashback to track?
Up to 5 days from date of purchase.

still waiting for an answer, c'mon store rep

      • Waiting for an answer to what question..?

        • +2

Still waiting for an answer, c'mon knackers

        • -1

I've been burnt by shopback in the past so I wanted confirmation from the store rep. Sorry if it offends you

          • @knackers: It doesn't offend me, not sure why you would guess that.

You should probably ask a question to the store rep, before "waiting for an answer". You will be waiting for a long time for an answer if you don't ask a question.

          • +2

            @knackers: … but what's the question?

            C'mon knackers 😶

            • @Salmando: Never mind, I can see the FAQ list now. I was on the phone and didn't see the ass-end of the Deal Post

              • @knackers: B-b-but Knackers …

WHAT. WAS. THE. DAMN. QUESTION. DOE?

No sooner did Knackers' lips curl up into a mischievous smirk, their eyes gleaming with satifaction. By now, they'd fully retracted their hands away from the gentle impressions of the key caps, and sunk back into their seat, hand over mouth, in disbelief.

                It..worked…it actually worked..

This childishly simple, yet remarkably effective plan of theirs, by means of feigning ignorance, had now assured them the sadistic euphoria that they had so very much craved. That is, from seeing others squirm with unsatiated curiosity, and thus, blue-ball themselves with sheer despair.

      • Yes its 10% off.dealbot linked you

    • Bought the gift card from auspost during the discount but until now the cash back status still "investigating"

  • The app still indicates 1% cash back

    • This is just caching, you may proceed with your purchase as long as it is done by 11.59pm AEST today :)

Seriously why do we have to use the app? I am always missing out im disabled and can't do things off my phone because of my hands I have no choice but to use my desktop.

        • +10

You're not alone, except in my case i just don't want another app violating the sanctity of my phone.

        • +8

Rep, please take this into account, as you can see the upvotes many of us have issues with the app.

        • +23

Unfortunately cashback for eBay's not ready for desktop on an ongoing basis just yet. Until then we'd prefer to at least offer cashback through the app than to offer nothing at all. We too are waiting for the day we get the green light to go on desktop as well.

        • +2

Have you tried installing the app in an Android emulator on your desktop?

          • @Its4me: What's a good Android emulator?

          • @Its4me: I played around with a few a couple of years back I suppose they would have improved since then maybe something I should look at again. Thanks

      • -2

Just to clarify is today 30/9 or 29/9?

        • +1

          30/9

      • the app never worked for me.. I used it when it even had 1% on a $2250 item I bought, says its clicked but it was never tracked! help? I put in a claim but no news at all..

  • +6

omg just after spending alot on sunday…

    • cancel and re-order

    • +1

I spent >$1000 on computer alliance on Sunday too with the gift cards bought on eBay uk. This would have been icing on the cake!!

  • Good if you have missed the 10% eBay gift cards sale

  • +5

I have to many pending investigations with shops which haven't tracked, not sure I can even be bothered anymore.

10% cashback is great tho, especially for everyone with the eBay gift cards and no limits!!!

    • +1

I bought $1k+ during last 10% shopback eBay, tracked then Rejected, no good argue with eBay, its decision is final.
Just don't buy if you want 10% off, wait for eBay code. Maybe worth the try to get overseas items.

      • If mine don't track, I'll stop using Shopback altogether. Considering others track on the same day and it logs all my click history's I definitely used it.

They need a better system, weather it's an individual code or once you activate the deal via Shopback it's activated.

The current system is pretty unreliable.
The 30% Shopback offers, most people only buy for that 30% cashback however if it's a pending investigation because it didn't track you have no idea what the result will be.

You either return items, or risk it and either way someone loses. Lost sales for business, upset users.

  • Valid until end of Sept 30th?

    • +1

Yes.. End of the day 11:59pm

    • +2

      That's today pumpkin.

      • +1

Don't call them pumpkin… that's only once the clock hits midnight.

  • any update on our $2 cashbacks from the last deal?

    • We've run quite a number of them recently - which one would you be referring to?

I'm taking it the $2 will just pop up next month sometime since my eBay order was tracked? thanks

        • +1

Thanks. Correct, as the usual 1% cashback has tracked the $2 bonus will appear in your account by 21st October.

  • Its hilarious that you know who can't come to the party. Nice work OP.

  • +1

If only it worked with eBay UK…

    • well you could buy the paypal gift cards 10% off and then apply 10% cashback :)

  • Trying to buy a laptop with the PHIZZ15 code and it says expired - anyone else got it working?

    • Yep, just expired for me too just when I went to use the app… Was working about 10 mins ago on my comp.

  • OP PICKLE code has expired ;)

    • Still working on our end fine :)

      • OP, are you sure PHIZZ15 expired? The deal post states it will expire today (11:59pm?).

Edit: nvm. It has expired! :(

        • +1

Yes it's expired, we just tested it a moment ago.

        • +2

Ebay AU expiring discount codes just before the 10% cashback offer.

        • +2

The eBay app says PHIZZ15 expires 30/9…?

        • +9

          eBay are such a joke.

The deal page for PHIZZ15 on eBay says "Ends 30/9". At every other retailer, this would mean that 30/9 is the last day. Only at eBay does it mean that 29/9 is the last day. 😡

  • +5

Shame this couldn't sync up with the 20% off Computer Alliance sale from the weekend, but still a great deal. Have to find something to buy, quicksticks.

    • Yes same here got excited till I saw CA isn't included :(

  • @gotyourback, does 10% cashback still qualify with PATPAT code?

    • +1

Yes we just added it to the post a few minutes ago.

      • Is the code popper10 works towards the cash back?

        • +1

It would however that code is already expired.

  • +3

    +1 for Shopback

We have bought items via Cashrewards using ebay gift cards awhile ago, some tracked but some don't. Submit a missing claim but cashrewards refused to even investigate as it is an ebay gift card. They stated ebay gift card will not tracked for cashback but somehow few transactions got track. Their Ebay store no enquiry rule uphold anything.

Like the Shopback here at least have stated it is okay to use ebay gift card

  • Op is cashback included for delivery costs as well?

    • Delivery costs and fees like GST at checkout are excluded from cashback.

      • +1

        Thanks for the quick reply!

  • How about Flybuys’ eBay voucher codes?

    • They're okay, however cashback will apply to the purchase amount after the code is applied.

    • What are those?

      • +1

Convert your flybuy points to eBay vouchers.

        • Thanks

        • Did not know that was a thing! Thanks!

  • Would be great if there were some better codes to use this with…

    Still not bad

    • Unfortunately we can't do this for past purchases retrospectively, we can only offer 10% cashback on purchases that are made today.

      • OP can I do multiple transaction or only one per account?

Also can I add multiple times in basket and then pay or one item at a time?

    • +2

Lol. Retroactively 10x your cash back? Good luck.

  • Comes only after 15% code expired :(

  • +1

Thanks OP. This deal tipped me over the edge to buy the iPhone 11 Pro Max 256GB at 30% off.

    • How…?

      • Assume he means 18% ish from this weeks UK gift cards, 10% from this, then maybe a code / seller that's below RRP to start with

    • Which listing bud :)

      • +5
        1. These guys have it listed for $2329

        2. Use PATPAT for 5% off ($116.45)

        3. Use ebay gift cards you already purchased at 10% (or 18.5% which I had). You can only use max of $1500 per transaction ($276.84 off). For those with 10% off ebay gift cards, your discount would be $150 instead of $276.84.

        4. Make sure you go through Shopback ($221.25 I hope)

        5. I'm also TRS-ing it next month ($211.73)

So in the end, $2329 - $116.45 - $276.84 - $221.25 - $211.73 = $1502.73 which works out to be around 30% off RRP of $2149. It might be a good idea make the balance of the purchase on a card with price protection so if/when these guys have a price drop, you can claim every subsequent price drop which would reduce your overall cost down the track.

There's only 3 left. Good luck!

        • How long does these price protection things on CC last for in general?

          • @la838: 2 years on the Coles Mastercard Account Cover Plus

        • Love it! thanks
What gets under my skin is that they are selling well above RRP

          • @ezza: Yes price jacking sucks, but that's where the price protection comes in useful:)

            • @escusemay: Not even sure my credit has that feature… does it even work when you pay with PayPal?

Edit. I noticed you may be referring to ebay.
"if you buy something on eBay and find the same product cheaper elsewhere within 48 hours, we'll give you a voucher for the difference in price, plus an additional 5%."

does this apply if another code is announced tomorrow, ie - price protection is only on listed price, or listed price + discount?

        • On another note, a dam rude price from Apple to charge that price for a phone for average consumers

  • New coffee machine is looking more likely today .. Profitec or LMLM!

  • You guys are absolute legends - been eyeing off a few power tools to spend my discounted gift cards on, so this + that discount + 3% 'pickle' code = bargains galore :)

  • +2

dam, now I don't know what to buy lol

  • +1

Just bought iphone 11 on ebay app. Hope it was tracked

  • Will it be tracked if I click thorough the shopback app and pay for items I've placed in the cart before?

    • nope, the cart should be empty

      • Thanks harsh
