I FINALLY GOT PAST IT, had to add my [email protected] to my paypal emails account and all of a sudden I got my purchase through.
Edit: got my vouchers!
My Paypal account I made for this ages ago didn't work, but my main Paypal account worked for the first redemption, but has been blocked when I tried a second redemption. Worth making a third Paypal account to save $40?
Personally I wouldn't, too much of a hassle if they all end up getting suspended…

yes almost instantly. got 2 of them. within mins less than 30 mins

humm made an new acc for this. payment went through and confirmed with paypal. its been close to 1hr and no code sent? should i be concerned ?
The listing says up to 24 hours. The last 10% off deal I got mine after exactly 4 hours.
during last deal my second purchased came through in about 20 hrs. dont worry till its 24 hrs time

Do you have more than 2 gift cards in your cart? I had 2 $50 gift cards and 1 $100 gift card. That didn't work. 2 $100 gift cards did.
I think that was the problem too, it worked if I had $300 in my cart though, but still only took $20 off.

I kept getting a “Something went wrong. Please try to check out again.". error on the last PLEASED deal.
I added 2 x $200 cards to my cart added this code and checked out and it went through. I didn’t do anything differently from the last deal.
This never worked for me, anyone can help me? do i need a Uk address and phone number in paypal and ebay both?
You need to make a uk ebay account, use an uk address for account initially but you can use any phone number. Eventually you can change the uk address to au address to make purchases. I kept just one paypal account and haven't had any problems but I havent ordered more than $1k of gift cards

eBay gift cards max $50 denomination available. You can’t buy more than twelve I assume (Six redemption: up to a maximum of two items per redemption)? Needed four $200 eBay gift cards.
There are heaps of $200's left, use the link in the OP that takes you to the Aussie store, pick one, then change the address from .com.au to .co.uk, or copy the item number from the .com.au site, and search the .co.uk site for the item, like:

Something weird about this code… first try on $550 gc I got $40 off. Then dropped it to to 2x$200 and got $30 off. Then dropped it to 1x $100 1 x $200 and got $20 off. Increased to $500 and still only $20 off.
you can only checkout 2 items per transaction, with a minimum total of AUD200. Max of 5 gift cards within 10 day period. So you can do 3 transactions to max out.

@nfr: Blocked 2x, then unblocked… and I didn't get to use the code but then I did… requested the cancellation but they already sent me the gift cards.
At least I got the Coles deal w/ a gift card, so $46.17 for a $100.17 shop.Still winning though thanks to OzB.
Im at my wits end with this.
- Created an ebay.co.uk account
- linked my paypal account to the ebay account.
Get an error "To buy a gift card, you need an eBay and PayPal account." at checkout.
So confusing.
I think that error means you have to change your primary address from the uk one to your Australian address for the gift card purchase
Hi, I changed my UK accounts address to NZ. Now I dont see the error, but I get a different error when trying to pay via paypal:
We ran into a problem and PayPal isn't available right now. Please select a different payment option.
I think that error means you may not have added eBay uk email address to your nz PayPal account on PayPal.com
@morebunnings: No sorry, to clarify you ALSO have to add the eBay uk email you used to the PayPal email on the website for “security purposes”

If you’ve done all that you should have at least 2 emails in that section. Your original email for au eBay and the 2nd email for uk ebay

I just ordered a $20 product from the UK site (via AU seller link that I changed the domain on), and it worked fine.
Just wont do the gift cards. Possibly because the value is too high or something :(
I found that this happened to me with certain cards but not with others. Both eBay gift cards, but the Fathers Day ones would give me that error (with no option to select address at checkout) whereas the Newlyweds one would say “this doesn’t ship to your address” but would let me change my address at checkout and then go through with payment.
I’ve no idea why. The whole thing seems to be a bit of a lottery.
Created eBay UK account last night. The code initially didn't work but now I get $40 off for 2 x $200 gift cards but problem is it won't let me use my usual paypal account. After entering the password for paypal, it reverts back to the checkout screen and confirm and pay button disabled. Clicking on paypal again gives me "We ran into a problem and paypal isn't available right now. Please select a different payment option". Anyone knows any workaround to this?
Exact same thing happens for me each time with these UK Ebay deals.
Looks like that have found the loophole and blocked it.
This never works for me. I have been trying until frustration…Opening new UK Ebay Accounts, opening new Paypal Accounts etc.

You are not the only ones
For those still stuck:
- make sure your new ebay uk account is verified. You're almost there.
- to do that, bid on an item, it will take you into some process where ebay calls you
- you accept the call, press 2 to say you're expecting it, then they give you a pin
- after you've verified your new ebay uk account, you can go ahead and purchase it - I had the same trouble all day as you guys.Thanks - but that did not work either. Tried bidding and never got the prompt to verify.
