1640

Get 6x points on selected Gift Cards until 2 February. Plus, purchase via Everyday Gifting in the app and get an extra 3% off (including Everyday WISH eGift Cards).

Works out to be 5.83% off. Maths

Note: The 6x points offer can be enjoyed once only. It will take up to 14 business days (after the end of the promotional period) for your Everyday Rewards points to land in your account.

Offer runs from 09:01 AEDT 20/01/25 to 23:59 AEDT 02/02/25 (promotional period). Your bonus points will take up to 14 business days to be loaded onto your Everyday Rewards Card after the end of the promotional period.

The page is showing the offer for everyone and I think the app in the gift card section however it says:

This offer is only available to registered Everyday Rewards members who received this offer directly via this email or in their Everyday Rewards app.

Maybe others can confirm if it's in the everyday gifting section?

    • +6

But the 6x is app only right?

  • +1

I think 6x is everywhere…extra 3% is app only….but best to double check

    • Yes looks like thats right

  • OP, this suggests you get bonus points based on full value of the gift card not what you pay.

    How it works
This offer can be used in conjunction with the 3% off offer only, when making a purchase through Everyday Gifting in the Everyday Rewards app only. You will collect points based on the full value of the selected eGift Card purchased before the 3% discount is applied when you purchase through the app

    • My T&C's state the following after this section in the next paragraph

To enjoy this offer …… spend at least $150 on selected eGift Cards~ in a single transaction …….

  • +6

Worth noting the "your pick" gift card is included in the list so it can apply to multiple brands

    • Can you split it down - ie. if you buy $500 - could you pick multiple different retailers up to the $500?

      • +1

        Yes you can.

  • Having problems adding my Amex in Woolies Rewards app wallet - anyone else having issues?

    • +1

Nah no issues here, was able to do it this morning

      • Thanks - mines a US Amex - could be why

  • +2

Not doing this again havent recieved points for last promo

    • I was not automatically credited from the last promo but my wifes one was. Was an easy couple of minutes phone call to get the points credited. Didn't even have to show proof but I guess they checked my account? I'm happy to do this promo again as I found it very easy to fix when there was an issue.

    • Same thing happened to me but I used live chat to quickly fix that up

  • Apple Gift Card would be included?

    • +6

If you purchase the Your Pick gift card, yes.

      Gift Card Participating Retailers
Your Pick ALL (Accor Hotels), Adrenaline, Airbnb, Amart, Angus & Coote, Apple, ASOS, Barbeques Galore, BIG W, Bonds, BWS, City Beach, Country Road, Dan Murphy's, Drummond Golf, Dymocks, EB Games, eBay, EG Ampol, Essentials (Woolworths Group), Event Cinemas, Everyday WISH, Freedom, Goldmark, H&M, Hubbl, IKEA, Kathmandu, Lorna Jane, Luxury Escapes, Myer, Netflix, Nine West, OPSM, PlayStation Store, RedBalloon, Roblox, Seed, Sephora, Sheridan, Sheridan, Simply Groceries, The Good Guys, The Iconic, Ticketmaster, Uber, Uber Eats, Unison, Webjet, Witchery, Woolworths Supermarket, Xbox, Xbox Ultimate Game Pass 3 months.
      • Can u purchase the Apple Gift Card via the app on your EDR, to get the 20x points per $1? Or do u have to buy physically in store to get the offer? Because many Woolworths stores aren’t selling them directly as being physical cards, because they’ve been having trouble with the scams (with such pulling back the cardboard packaging and entering the code number) therefore aren’t selling them. As when others are buying them are getting scammed, while entering the code from the card.

  • I didn't read the whole offer and I didn't "boost" the offer before purchasing. Is there anyway that I'd still receive the 6x points?

    • +2

Doesn't mention anything about hitting boost button so maybe you'll be ok.

    • +6

I think you will be fine, because the booster says in bold under the Where section:

You do not need to boost this offer.

    • boost it right away

    • I would, I didn't boost and didn't receive the extra points.

I called Woolworths today and they had to manually add points to my account from this promotion and an identical promotion in November.

      • Interesting… the t&cs state:

"Your bonus points will take up to 14 business days to be loaded onto your Everyday Rewards Card after the end of the promotional period."
Good to see that you can call them and get them to apply the points now.

  • Dumb question - But I have always wondered with these gift cards - If I buy a 500$ gift card for Woolworths - I can use that over multiple transactions, right?

    • +3

Of course. For added convenience and security, you should add the gift card to your Everyday wallet via the Everyday Rewards app, and it becomes permanent 'Woolies money' to be used whenever you shop at the participating merchant.

      • +5

This used to be the case, but hasn't been for a while. Now everyday wallet is just a place to store the gift card, there's no real benefit from using it, you still have to open up the gift card and use it like normal, and split transactions to use up any remaining value.

        • +2

Does it tell you how much remains on the card though? I'd take that as a benefit if it does.

          • +3

@kingzac: It does update the remaining balance shortly after every use, that's the convenience part.

          • +1

@kingzac: yeah, can also see transactions, I'd assume this info is available outside of the app too but I haven't looked

  • +1

For anyone that wants to read the T&C's a bit easier, here you go.

  • Thanks OP, just exhausted my last gift card.

  • Can't add any credit or debit card to Everyday Pay. Error message:

    Couldn't verify card
    Please try a different card.

    🙄

    • +1

Do you have your mobile number linked to your profile? That fixed the similar problem for me.

      • Yes have mobile, email, postal address and living address. Tried changing phone number, logging out, deleting app and reinstalling etc. Weird. Have contacted their help desk for now. Thanks.

        • Have you solved this problem? I got the same error message while adding ANZ card.

          • +1

@kyloren1: No. Never got any card attached. Got work piling up. Used the chat.

            Final answer was this. HTH:

It seems like you have tried most of the troubleshooting steps. Therefore, this issue will need to be referred to the Everyday Pay team, who are directly responsible for the Everyday wallet. Please contact them at 1300 101 234 (Option 3 > Option 1 > Option 3).

          • @kyloren1: FYI that calling them on the number I posted earlier, fixed it the next day.

    • +2

      Not quite.

You pay $485 and effectively get $515 of gift card value ($500 credit + $15 of points). 5.83% off.

      • I can't get any discount because i've tried 5 times now, and keep getting:

        Something went wrong
Your payment has been unsuccessful at this time
        Your card hasn't been charged

        Thanks anyways for explaining!

        • I was thinking the same as you… clearly I was wrong too

          • +1

@Onemoredeal: At least we are not alone haha, so for a $500 card:

            $485 (upfront 3% app discount) / $515 (15 bonus points added later) = .94174 (so 5.825%)

The 5.83% used the wrong value of points referenced last deal, which was the point of my comment above but I still mathed wrong

            • +1

@OutOfTime: I commented the same up the very top for the same reason haha

        • +1

I had this issue last time, adding my phone number myself kept not working, so I contacted customer service and they added it in on their end, and then I was able to check out straight away while I was still on the phone with them.

          • @sakurakiks: Yes it worked for me as well! I actually just made the order and was about to comment.
I resubmitted the mobile, name and email in the account details of the app, and it went through. Thanks also to this comment

  • 5% is 5% but hard to justify the inflation. A pack of eggs costs more than this 5%. Can't use GC to stack with cashback on BigW. Not sure if I should stock these.

  • out of the 5.83%. 3% is the direct cash discount and 2.83% is locked into the points and you can only redeem once it hits 2000

You can already get a flat 5% (cash) from providers - the 0.83% - not sure if effort to reward is worth it

    • I agree a little bit too. However there is something very convenient about buying a $500 card, as it lasts longer, it's just the one transaction. I share the card with my hubby and it's just there ready to go when we go to the shops, previously we were buying $100 gift cards at 4% off as required, but it's a bit of a faff and takes less time in the long run to just buy a $500 and let it sit there in your wallet. Wish it was 4 or 5% discount WITH the bonus points, but I guess thats too much to ask of this particular corporate giant 😄

    • I don't see any that offer above 4%. Care to let us in on where you can gain a 5% GC?

  • Can special GC used in the app or with all the payment issues is it a no go?

    • The Everyday Rewards app requires any payment cards being used on that platform to support 3-D Secure, and it has been like that since at least January 2022.

Prepaid gift cards (including Special gift cards) do not support 3-D Secure, so if you try to add one as a new payment method, you should get an error message saying:

Oops, we could not add your bank card. Please try a different card.

That has been my experience when trying to add multiple different prepaid gift cards on the platform (including Special gift cards, Vanilla Mastercard gift cards, Vanilla Visa gift cards, Activ Visa gift cards, etc). This person also said late last year they could not add a Special gift card on the Everyday Rewards app.

  • Interesting, special does in fact work though for other online & instore GC purchases though right? Eg special to vanilla without the hurdle of -"no payment for GC for another GC"?

    • Online: the Woolworths Special gift card will not work on the Woolworths Group gift card portal, because that website is not one of the stores whitelisted on that gift card. However, if you use a Tech Head Special gift card, you should be able to purchase a (discounted) gift card on that portal, although it does not always work.

In-store: the Woolworths Special gift card should work. It last worked for me during the last Vanilla Visa gift card deal of 2024, and I have not heard nor seen any reports since saying otherwise.

      • Weird, I can't find tech head has everyday or Woolworths in their list of supported retailers otherwise if try with a small amount

        • +1

That is actually to be expected, because Special gift cards are… special.

          • @WookieMonster: This Techheads card is truly special. Tried it with the RACV/Woolworths gift card portal and just the Woolworths gift card portal and both failed with the "Something went wrong" error.

            • @kyle: So ended up using at Amazon and got a gift card there.

  • Can we use Zip Pay for Rewards Wallet?

  • I wish the T&C were abit simpler after reading this as I would have purchase another gift card personally,

Gift Cards purchased via Everyday Gifting in the Everyday Rewards app are eGift Cards only and there is a purchase limit of 1 Gift Card valued at up to $500 in a single transaction. Gift Cards purchased at https://giftcards.woolworths.com.au/multiplier/c/multiplier can be physical or eGift Cards and there is a purchase limit of 5 Gift Cards which add to a total value of $2500 (max. value of $500 per Gift Card) in a single transaction.

The offer can be enjoyed once only during the promotional period, and can only be redeemed on your first purchase during the promotional period, irrespective of whether you purchase your selected eGift Card via Everyday Gifting in the Everyday Rewards app or at https://giftcards.woolworths.com.au/multiplier/c/multiplier.

This tells me that you only can get the 3% off + x6 once and then you cant claim the 6x via the web or on additional cards? But also the discount via the web for the x6 (lets assume $500) means you get 3,000 points and assuming the $10 per 2k is $15 off which falls back to the 3% so you only get the 5.~~% on one gift card the rest are just the same as getting via NRMA?

Is that right or have I miss read the T&C? ( https://giftcards.woolworths.com.au/medias/GCV-8117-Jan-25-G… )

  • when checking out $155 gift card, I didnt receive the 3% discount at check out. Called Everydays Rewards - Pay department, spoke to them and explained the situation. They sent me a $15 gift card as compensation.

  • Have people received their bonus points yet?

    • Your bonus points will take up to 14 business days to be loaded onto your Everyday Rewards Card after the end of the promotional period.

      • Unbelievable it is that slow to dish out the points.

    • Not yet. A bit disappointing considering other offers usually have the points applied within a few days, if not instantly.

  • Where on rewards can you buy the gift card asked Mandy …still waiting:(

    • +1

I had trouble too. Had to go to reqards app, then the discover app then everyday gidting under there

  • can i buy this multiple times and get the x6?
    Or just once off transaction?

  • +1

    Points just came through

  • Still no sign of my points 15 business days after the promo closed. Will hit up the live chat on Tuesday if the points still haven't credited.

    • I had mine credited to the account on 14/2.

    • Same nothing here. Don't think you can do live chat for missing points. Have to call them up which is a pain.
