Wow, just as i thought. SS has been screwing all us who bought the phone for $473.95+49 over… I just did a quick search on eBay and by the looks of it, people who have purchased from their eBay site have already received the phone and left feedback such as:
"Great seller, all good, super fast delivery. Thank you AAAAA"
"Exactly as described and very prompt delivery"Well at least when our phones eventually do come in the mail, they seem to be a brand new phone which are all in order as we all hoped. Shame about the wait though for the rest of us though =/ I also gave them a call and they said they are on track for us to receive the phones sometime ~3-10 August, not long now!
It could also be that they put some for the $473.95 while the rest of the stock was being sold at normal price.
omg every stop asking them for refunds! The reason theyre going to take 4 weeks is so the majority of people will be too impatient and request a refund to cover for their screw up. DON'T LET THEM WIN, BE PATIENT!
Not really, they are taking 4 weeks because they didn't have the stock that was ordered, so we've been placed on backorder.
That is pathetic. Just looked at their feedback and this person purchased on 19th July 2011 and left feedback on 26th July 2011 that the phone had arrived.

I'd like to see they BS that they'll reply, but I think we already know the answer to this question unfortunately. It simply comes down to that their ebay customers paying $100 extra to which they reserve the power to leave criticism on their page which is in plain public's site.
While us ozbargain buyers who got a GREAT deal makes them think that they can afford to leave us in the dark as our only options being sending them a ticket or giving them a phone call to which they'll get back to us with generic replies =="

Those phones have also been dispatched and delivered to the buyers.

This was obviously a lie as you had stock to sell to the eBay bidders.

I agree we should take this to an external body…they have taken our money and made us wait 1 month + whilst shipping other orders ahead of us!
I think we should ALL report this to ACCC or Consumer Affair because clearly they have misled us. When we bought it the website is showing as In Stock, but in fact they have NO Stock.
This is clearing false advertising and misleading. They should be fined by ACCC.
Also anyone who pay with Paypal should open a dispute so that Paypal withhold the money until they can confirm that they have stock so they cannot use our money interest free for 1 month.
Does anyone know Consumer Law?? I personally don't, but if anyone here does (or knows anyone who does) care to enlighten us. Facts would be good so that we can scare shoppingsquare into fulfilling our orders.

However, my phone was bought and paid for BEFORE the other phones were listed on eBay, and more than a week before the winning items were shipped to the eBay buyer. Those phones should have been shipped to existing customers before ANY were listed on eBay.

Yup, i just got an email from iibuy selling the phone for $699. I am happy to wait the extra couple of weeks to save such a decent chunk of cash on the phone.
Sure it could have been handled a lot better but as long as I get what was listed in the SS listing I am more than happy to put up with the very ordinary delivery times.
Buy one of their loose CHEAPO items off ebay; like a 2GB microSD memory card ($3-6). Shortly after purchase; file a Paypal claim - they will reufnd your mnoney because they wont be able to confirm with Paypal the item was shipped with a TRACKING number…if you receive it, send it back by return mail (@ no cost to you - otherwise keeping it is fraud..), and comfortably: LEAVE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK about how they have treated you on their website with your SGS2. Ebay can't remove the feedback unless you agree to CANCEL the transaction or if you make ZERO mention of the product ordered.
Deceptive? Yes. Expensive? No. The least you could do….c'mon don't stoop as low as SS, I expected better from aussieland :O
if your intention was to leave neg feedback about a product that is not what you bought on ebay, SS can still appeal with ebay to remove it anyway.

It's dodgy indeed, one would think it's first in first served. They have stock on hand, people bought the online deal first, they should get their phone before the ebay buyers who bought at higher price at a later date. NO EXCUSES, SS!!
If I get my phone in the first week of August and being sealed and brand new, I'd leave it at that. Anything else, I would definitely get in contact with ACCC, Fair Trading, and I recommend we all do the same.
But I would definitely have second thoughts about shopping at SS ever again.

I've spoken with the local Sydney manager who confirmed my phone, albeit going to be shipped AFTER ebay phones were, with no legitimate reason as to WHY that happened whill shop Monday afternoon HK time and delivered by either FedEx or DHL. In my experience delivery has taken a minimum of 2 days best, 4 days at worst, the manager confirmed i'll have my phone before the end of next week. This is shipping with everyone elses
I remain confident that with Ebay feedback profiles meaning everything to big onlien retailers, they must have had some stash sorted out first to those who paid a higher price after all of us paid the lower price deal on 11/7 which they acted on first having "no answer how it happened" simply isn't good enough. The manager was supposed to call meback as I escalated the call, but as that never happened I called and spoke with him at 5pm today.
At worst, if you dont get your phone next week, the week following should be the maximum you would wait.
Hope that helps. I stick by my sggestion above if you'd like to have SOME influence on their ebay feedback. Or call them, they deserve to go under the knife with how we have been treated; 0296663055 is the number i believe.

The issue i am experiencing is that it has been 21 days since i paid for, in full, a Samsung Galaxy II and i yet to receive the item.
The outcome is simple, i would like to receive the item by Friday 5th August.
If this cannot be met or is not met, i will contact the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) and open a case/seek advice.

Just because they offered a refund it doesn't mean they can take as long as they want.
Also they keep saying one thing and it changes shortly after. Finally they did have stock and they were shipping it to other customer who purchased after we all did.They (Shopping Square) have done so many things wrong and none of which have been nullified by offering a refund.

Yes, you are correct (they have offered full refund) however they have taken our money and delivered to many customers who clearly ordered after us even though they are "out of stock" - though they were in stock according to their site when we ordered? This is where they are dodgy and I am sure we have a case, not to mention the massive delay time.
I don't have time to pursue a formal complaint at the moment but if no phone by early next week I will definitely.
