This IMO is a better deal but I guess it depends on what you need.
Just earphones and no mics then what you linked is a good deal. If you need a microphone then this is looking like the best solution so far.eh? It looks like you missed some words out. which are better the DSE or the logitechshop ones?

They're just the 600 not 600vi which are significantly more expensive

anyone know how these would go with android devices - in particular the remote (although all in-line remotes designed for the iphone work the same i.e. send the same type of signal, some do and some don't work with android phones)

No. To my experience the extra functionality (remote/mic) is for iphone and ios devices only.
