Changi Transit Program - Get Changi Recommends Voucher worth SGD20 On Eligible Qantas Flights (Flight Number Starting with 081)

260

While checking to see if the Singapore Airlines Changi Voucher https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/447967 has been renewed past 30 September (still not confirmed) I came across the same promotion being applicable to Qantas flights.

When you fly with Qantas, you travel in a world of rewards. So now when you fly via Singapore, you’ll enjoy a S$20 voucher to spend at the award-winning Changi Airport.

As part of the Changi Airport Transit Reward programme, eligible customers will receive a S$20 Changi Recommends Voucher to spend on shopping, dining and lounges. It’s a great way to relax in a lounge for less, save on shopping or enjoy a snack and a drink. This special offer is valid for bookings made from 1 February until 31 December 2019. (NOTE: Voucher must be used by 31 March 2020)

Are you eligible?

If you transit through Singapore Changi Airport on a return Qantas flight, you’ll receive a S$20 Changi Recommends Voucher.

Your flight ticket number must begin with 081 and be issued by Qantas or authorised travel agencies/online travel portals.

You must travel on flights operated by Qantas and/or its codeshare partners both in and out of Changi Airport.

Where to collect

The iShopChangi counter can be found near the GST Refund counter at Terminal 1 Departure/Transit. Upon disembarking from your arriving flight, look for the directional signs leading to the GST counter. You will need to collect your Changi Recommends Voucher from the iShopChangi counter at least one hour before your next departure. For an interactive map of the terminal, please visit Changi Airport.

As always, check the T&Cs.

  • Has anyone had success in getting these on just an Aust airport to Changi return flight.
I'm heading there (with Qantas) for a few days as my destination, not stopover.

(Yes, I know its made for stopovers, but just wondering how strictly they check it)

You wont get it. It is for transit passengers and they are quite meticulous in checking this.

      • thanks :)

I have used the SQ version several times, and they check it very closely.

You have no chance of getting it with a return flight - unless they make a complete balls-up at the iShop counter.

  • Damn it, I was just in Singapore on Sunday and flew back to Australia on Qantas :(

Being slightly pedantic here, but the title should be edited.

It's for flight ticket numbers starting with 081 (as per description). A flight number typically starts with a 2 letter code (e.g. QF, VA, CX, SQ, 3K, D7, MH, AA, BA) followed by up to 4 numbers (e.g. QF5057, VA668, CX723, SQ5).

    • But if transiting and in doubt on code it's worth checking. I was transiting through on Singapore airways and my number wasn't on the list, but I checked and still got it.

Limited shops to buy from, some (most) have minimum $40 spend or are lounges. Only way to get off without paying anything is at Hudson's coffee

    • Thanks for the heads up, that sucks 🙁

Do you know of anywhere else other than Hudsons that doesn't have $40 minimum spend?

      • +1

They give you a sheet that has all the places listed. I don't remember them off the top of my head but looking at the included stores Hudsons was the only one I could remember. There's a few lounges on there with no minimum spend but I don't know how much they cost. I ended up using mine at one of the Singapore souvenir stores for some salted egg fish skin chips!
