My girlfriends cousin bought a boxset (not this one) and it had a blank space for the last movie to be inserted, i'm not sure if this set has a similar feature or not. Edit: Looked at the pictures and reviews and it seems this boxset doesn't leave space for the last disc, shame.

I think you're onto something. In approximately 5 minutes, this box set will be worth an amount approaching zero dollars (or pounds) once the new "complete" box set is available

I think this + buying the last movie individually might work out cheaper than buying the whole set boxed. We'll have to see!

I'm personally holding out for the 'adult version' of the box set. While the adult version of the books was pretty much just a darker cover and binding, I hear the 'adult version' of the movies is much more explicit. :)

I wouldn't say dragging it out. There's 7 books, and will end up with 8 movies. The books are dense enough as it is without cramming them into a couple of hours of footage, and with the last book so packed full of action, makes sense to do it as a two-parter.
My thoughts about this as a bargain is that they are clearly trying to clear old stock before the complete collection is released. I doubt the complete section will be this cheap for a long time, as they will not need to clear it out like the other collections.

This is ok if you don't want 7 part 2. But it would have been better to sell this and leave a space to insert 7 part 2. Since they knew 7 part 2 would be coming before they decided to make this package.
It's a very good price, but I'd hold out for the complete box set that will have the last movie included.
