Was looking for a coffee machine and found this on Amazon AU. With combination of cashback (shopback/cashrewards) & bonus $50 EFTPOS. I think it's a great deal

Only a dual wall basket on 54mm though. You could always buy the single walls separately.
This is a single step up from a pod machine. Like the Creatista basically
Don't most domestic machines use dual wall filter basekets though?
Other Breville models high up than this (but still not that fancy) have multiple baskets - dual and single wall, single and double shot. BEX870 came with 4.
And to add: The BES870 comes with 54mm filters/portafilter whereas the BES920 comes with 58mm filters/portafilter. Use the single wall filter with freshly roasted beans and chuck the double wall out.
The only negative, is that the steam wand is completely automatic and controlled by the machine. You just place the stainless jug on the base of the stand and wait.
There is no option to manually steam your milk with this machine.
The positive is that if you don't like having to do the steaming of the milk etc, this will be easier for you and probably produce more consistent results.
There's the option for manual steaming if you lift up the wand and press the steaming button
Ah that's good to hear, I was looking at that machine for a friend and got the distinct impression from a review (can't remember what site) that it wasn't possible.
I just purchased this machine yesterday from amazon and didnt know about the $50 cashback. Nice work!
BTW - It 100% has manual steam option and it works great. Auto mode is a little eh.
Thanks nikkon, my bad on the last post about no manual option. I am sure I read that somewhere, and got turned off because of it.
If you include shopback & the cashback then it worked out $288.49 for me. Great price!
How did you do this? Please share, how to use both!
He's talking about the cashback, not cashrewards.
I got $26.5 back from shopback and then i claimed the $50 back from breville
@nikkon: oh okay the $50 back from breville wasnt in the deal…is it on their website?
@edit - ok its the $50 eftpos card, apologies!
That's about what it's worth :) Great price
Currently weighing up between this - the Bambino and the DeLonghi Pump Espresso.
Any opinions on which is the best machine for the money? (Would only go for the Delonghi if it got to $160 or so.
ive had both, the bambino is alot better build quality and steam is alot more solid.
The delonghi isnt worth its $300 price tag but its a great machine for $160 if ur lucky enough to get one at that price
Thanks Nikkon, that's good advice. I'm leaning towards the Bambino, but like you said, the Delonghi would be a steal at anything under $160. It's historic low was around $100, but it's been $130-140 a few times, so I'm wavering about hanging out for a similar price drop…
I have been using one for a few months now. I also separately bought the single wall basket which works fine with this machine. My only complain is that I sort of have to guide the steam wand during flushing or it might make a slight mess.
NOTHING wrong with a single wall if you know how to grind, dose and tamp :)
Price back up to $499
Grabbed one with Shopback along with the Smart Grinder.
Amazon store has price matched
Edit: sorry, out of stock
Had never heard of this, but it gets a great review from the New York Times review site Wirecutter:
"After more than 60 hours of research and testing across nine espresso machines, we think the Breville Bambino Plus is the best for new and moderately skilled enthusiasts alike. The Bambino is powerful and easy to program and use, and it is capable of yielding consistent, rich shots and steaming perfectly textured, delicious milk. It has a sleek, compact design too, making it easy to fit into most kitchens."
