  This isn't a bad deal if you only intend on keeping it for the first year and plan on flying one of the more expensive legs like Sydney to Perth - the annual fee for the basic card is 69 - you'll easily make that back on the cost of the flight.

  Long-term it isn't a great value option though unless your spending big dollars on your card. If you choose the Jetstar dollars option you'll need to spend 6900 before you get enough dollars to cover the annual fee or 8450 on the platinum.
